Comment:
Class taken in 2015. Completely useless class. An illustrating class, but I learned nothing new about illustrating. The class was more about exploring weird/specific medium (like paper cutting) than learning any useful or universal techniques. Lent had weird views on participation and forced us to give inspired comments to uninspiring material.

I was inspired this teacher and received individual attention. Ms. Lent's work has been published in several books on collage, as well as national published magazines. She has had numerous solo exhibitions at Museums, and nationally recognized fine art festivals around the country.

No grading rubric... pics grades out of hat... this professor has no talent... seriously her work made me go "are you serious?" i wonder who thought she would be a good teacher... oh yeah Barbara Peterson another no talent... I find it amusing when a person with no talent tries to decide a students grade.

Martha is a great Art teacher. I didn't know I could do fine art until I took her class. She opened my eyes. She teaches with a definite passion for her craft and it shows. She puts in a lot of extra effort to her teaching. I highly recommend her.

She really puts alot of effort into her classes and is always well prepared. I learned alot in her class and would recommend other students to take it. The projects were all challenging, in a good way.

Comment:
On average, she only gives you 1 wwek for a project that would take most classes at least 2. Shes very bubbly, but in a way that come off as abrupt. Most of her projects come from Design 1, its like she reprises too many things you ahve already learned.

Comment:
Takes a long time to get a project (grade) back. When you do get it back it is not clear why you get the grade you get. A lot of projects I had already done in Design I. Too much money for supplys that we do not use.

Comment:
Speaking clarity is good. Project descriptions could use more detail. Grading scale for projects not given in advance. Provides excellent examples of working process. She gears class more to artist than graphics.
