She was a really nice Comp professor. You just chill out all class. Kind of a harsh grader, but she's really sweet, funny, and helpful. I almost wish I had her for Comp I and Comp II.

Great teacher. Give you many papers but they are relatively easy and quick. She can ramble a bit in class often about her own opinions but i'ts not so bad because the class time isn't so necessary. She gives quizzes on the readings but they're often straight forward as long as you read.

She's very funny and gives interesting discussions. However, for her comp1 class at least, it felt like a high school class. It was very easy and she doesn't give a lot of work. Also, she took a lot of days off in which you had to put in an entry on blackboard to make up for missing the class - which was awesome.

Good discussions based on the books read-- never really knew when the class was over, so she just let us out 20 minutes early a lot. She cancelled classes occasionally as well which is a plus.

Fakler is the laziest professor I have ever had. She reads a page, maybe a page and a half of your essays and misses countless errors while rarely giving A's. There were many times she couldn't discuss the textbook material because she didn't remember/understand it and she cancels class constantly. I would avoid her, she is a waste of time.

Great teacher. I feel like I really did learn something, coming out of her class. She's very easy on the grades, and most of the class there are just fun/enlightening discussions. She missed class a few times, canceling class. That's always a plus. She is always considerate with time, letting you out early, when she's done; instead of dragging on.

This is my second semester with her and I still don't think she knows who I am. It's very obvious when she favors students. She only explains the assignments in class, but not clearly, and if you make a mistake she'll berate you for it. Easy just because there isn't a lot of work outside of class, but class is just busy-work.Goes on tangents often.

This class is considered a writing intensive. There were 4 essays including the final throughout the semester. Every class there is an in class assignment, but these are easy, they are completely your opinion based on the reading. It's definitely an easy class, and I would recommend taking it to anyone who needs a writing intensive class.

GREAT teacher. easygoing atmosphere. fun insightful class. not too much stressing over projects and such, i see her as an easy grader, but she is also always available for extra help. I also reccomend the Expository writing class in general. its considered Writing intensive, but it is not that bad. dont be scared. :)

I don't know what all these other comments are about- Fakler is not a great prof. at all. All the work we did in the class was busy work. The content of the essays we wrote did not matter at all, just length, and she made a huge deal over stupid little things like the heading you use. The only thing I learned in this class is how to appease Fakler.

I recommend taking a course with her! Fakler is awesome! This is my 3rd semester with her- I had her for FYI Comp. 1 and 2 and now analysis and interpretation. I plan on taking expository writing with her in the future. Did I mention she is also my advisor? She is very nice and helpful and makes class fun. It is worth it!

I took her for FYI. There were themes for each semester which was kind of annoying. She's a pretty easy teacher, but I find a lot is due at the same time. She cancels class and lets you leave class early sometimes.
