He helped me improve my writing and reasoning in papers, and letter of recommendation helped me get into a good law school because my gpa was low. He's very helpful, and a great student advocate!

He's missing his front tooth -but despite this, he maintains a professional quality :P. He was a little too easy and too easy to scam - I turned in every essay late and got away with it by flirting.

Very funny, thoughtful proffesor on politics. I still use the frameworks when I follow the 2008 presidential race. His course has a good critical perspective on American politics.

I took his women and politics class before I graduated. As a conservative, I liked the debates he inspired in class and I could speak my mind (and my liberal friends appreciated it too). He wanted us to get many different angles on the topics, but you could get the stuff at either a low- or high-level based on how he got the class going each day.

I enjoyed Max's classes. He asked questions the class didn't get, but he tried and often succeeded on discussion. Max actually assigned reading that had more than one side to the issue. I appreciated that.

I took Max Brown's PolySci class as one of the first at the U of O. Although I can't say that I always agreed with him, his class was very informative and engaging, and he was available after class for discussion on the topics. One of the best profs I had at the U of O.
