Dr. Nelson might appear a little gruff around the edges at first but I really think that when you take the time to actually learn from her she improves. You do learn the material well and that insures future success in other classes. Students who find it necessary to use curse words only demonstrate what little knowledge they have.

Its a tough class, she teaches what you need to know unlike waxman. The major plus about her is that she grades on a major curve, where your performance compared to the rest of the class is all that matters, and thats the way it should be.

Yes, she seems intimidating at first, but she really knows her stuff and will always help you out. Tests are hard, papers are tough, but hey, it's chemistry...it's not supposed to be easy sailing... but you learn.

Dr. Nelsen can explain the hardest material to anyone. Her classes are very challenging, and she seems kinda scary, but she is the best chemistry teacher, and possibly the best overall teacher I have had.
