Theory 1: TAKE FUNDAMENTALS FIRST! He is extremely knowlageable and has a great passion for music. Tests are hard but grading is fair. You learn so much from lectures so come to class and do the homework! Great teacher!

Seems like a nice old man but if you aren't very passionate about singing and music, don't take his class. It is not easy to get an A unless you study and have experience with singing or music.

Very passionate about the subject. Tests were extremely hard though. There was A LOT of memorization involved and the study guides contained about 60 or 70 questions each! He drops your lowest grade and grades on a curve, but that still wasn't much of a help =/

I love Mr. Tausig. He's not only my favorite teacher, but also my mentor. He has inspired me beyond belief though the years. I take one or two of his classes every semester, and I plan to do so until I graduate. Mr. Tausig appreciates hard working students, with a passion for music.

Expected a snap course. Its not! But he gives a list of questions he takes the test from, lets you turn in a draft of the term project and makes corrections so you can fix, he curves exams. Most didnt go to class, so had a hard time since tests were on lectures & book. Then they grumbled all the time. Some didnt even do the project. I like

Mr. Tausig is a great Music Prof. He knows everything there is to know about music. His class us hard, but if you are talented with music, then you shouldn't have a problem then should you? I recommend him for Musicianship. That class teaches the most important aspects of music... sight singing, writing what you hear.. etc....

i took this class as an elective and it ended up being the hardest class i have ever taken! His tests are six pages long and extremely detailed and meticulous. he worried so much about pointless details like the names of composers' wives that i hardly learned anything about music, itself. this guy is obviously in his own world.

Quirky Guy, has a very weird personality. I knew alot about music before hand, so that helped, Otherwise, I don't know how people passed? Was very easy A...Just pay attention! Tests are quite difficult.

Nice guy, BUT...I don't think he was good at teaching the class. he talks forever about something you don't understand. He says he is different with tests, but they are confusing! If u ask him a question he will explain it to u without you undestanding. If he looks at you just smile, don't talk lol

This guy is the friggin best! He loves music and he tries really hard to be helpful. I have had him for lots of classes and I came to know him well. He isn't easy but thats beacause he really gives you an opportunity to learn a lot. a really great teacher.

His classes are informative and very easy. Pay attention in class and read the book and you're sure to get an A. His tests are benchmarked so it's easily possible to get 700 to 800 points out of 600. Very reasonable on homework as well. Just do it. Even if you get some wrong he'll give you full credit.
