DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR ANY SUBJECT! She is very loud, mean and rude. I had her for Bio 1240L and she did not teach. She would give us the packet, tell us to complete the packet and leave. Her quizzes were very hard and we only had two quizzes. Her midterm and final was hard. She's makes you feel dumb in her office hours. BEWARE!

One of the most stressful class ever experienced. Dr. Bossiere is unforgiving, doesn't reply to email, doesn't update blackboard, and avoid students when being confronted with grading tests wrong. Be prepared to lose points on questions you get correct due to her atrocious grading skills.

Terrible teacher with a terrible attitude. Extremely disorganized and enjoys making students miserable. Tests are made the day before, so there are some errors. The way she words some of her question is ridiculous, and makes no sense. Lectures are okay, mostly nauseating and she talks extremely fast nonstop. If you wanna get an A, take a diff prof.

Bad reputation of incredibly hard and mean. However, not true! She jokes work gets done. Tests are the only grades. Don't use the book, use her lectures. Study everything even if she says don't, it will help your understanding. Her lectures are gold. Record, if you must and take good notes. Remember examples. SI sessions. U will have to earn ur A

Dr. B is not the best teacher. I had her for Biology 1240 Lab and I barely made an A. Her quizzes are hard, and so is the midterm and final. She will not curve the grades even if there is no one with an A in the class. You really have to work hard to get an A in this class. Be prepared.

Dr. Boissiere isn't a great professor, but if you can get past the attitude issues, you'll be fine. She's usually in her office during office hours to answer questions. She is REALLY bad on emails + blackboard. Always check her questions because there are quite a few wrong answers on her key and she won't give points back unless you ask usually.

She's not the greatest biology professor. Her way of teaching is not the best. The way her quizzes are after the first quiz are hard. You really have to know things said in class, in the notes, and in the textbook. Questions on exams are not always covered in class. She expects you to know things that she has not gone over in class.

Honestly, I would not recommend her to any student who is working hard to get an A. There are several other professors who are far better at teaching these topic materials, but do not take her. She may make the tests, but makes the learning process miserable. Plus, she talks to students as if she is doing them a favor by dumbing things down.

Despite the reviews. She is not that bad. I took her in fall 12 and I liked her class. She explains the topics extremely well and is through. Willing to answer questions you may have. I made an A by reading modules taking notes and recording her. She makes the test as well.

She's tough. Some of the material on the tests will not be covered in class. She gives you modules to study from, but again, the tests don't match up to the modules. For example, when learning about parts of the ear - the lecture and module just call the middle ear the Ossicles, but the test wants you to name the 3 bones INSIDE the Ossicles.

I took her for 1240 and all I have to say is record her, take notes, have a study partner, and study the book, because those exams are no joke and some of the material will not be taught. I will say towards the end of the semester, she began to teach a little better and became more interesting.

Genetics: Compared to the other teachers she seemed like a good option. Her tests and final were straight forward and her lectures were fine. But I do have to agree about the attitude issue she has. One day you ask her for help and she won't, other times she may.

This woman is a trip. She is funny at times, but her bad attitude outweighs everything. She definitely is conceited and comes off as if she knows that she is better than everyone. She is very unpredictable, so you can easily study everything and still fail her test and quizzes. Good luck!!!
