Ouno-sensei is wonderful. Very tough--unless you study a little bit every night. She's scary to approach on your own, but she's very nice and knowledgeable. When learning the verb "aru," don't use it with people. It's bad for you.

I really loved this class even thought it was a lot of work. I had to study daily to keep up with the lesson quizzes, but I really did learn a lot. She's a cute little teacher, but she can be hard to understand at times. Overall, it's a fantastic class, but you need devotion.

Dr. Ono is a great professor with a sense of humor. 101 is fairly tough, but 102 is tougher. The Katakana was hard to learn mid-way through. She's sometimes a bit hard to follow conceptually, but is always enthusiastic and polished overall. Don't get sick or injured, because you can't make up anything! Too rigid. Recommended highly, though.
