She really knows her stuff and it seems that it is a little difficult for her to "dum down" when you ask questions. But if you read the material ahead of time and participate in the labs it will not be troublesome. You have to understand the workbook before you get to class because it is a lab. But she is willing to help you if you want.

If you are able to get a different professor. two words DO IT. She is very knowledgable about anthro but she does not try at all to make it intriguing to her students she talks the entire class wether its the anthro1 class or the Lab she does not stop talking. Her classes are painful to sit through but the work is mostly easily

Her lectures were so boring, although I found her lab's interesting. She wasn't an awful teacher she just knew the content that she was teaching. However, She was a hard grader which had a tough love kinda way of teacher. She can learn to build a stronger connection with her students and make them more engaged.

She can't say Australopithecus. She said Australia-pithicis. She's supposed to be an expert but hasn't figured out she's straight up adding letters? I would compare her lectures to a slow but effective torture, even in her 3 hour lab which she shouldn't be lecturing in. Do not take this class.

I tried to give her 0s but couldn't. She swears on the first day that the 3 hours will fly by because it's a lab not a lecture but she's just a liar. She lecturesfor at least 2/3 hours and will mark you off if you leave 5 minutes early. She laughs for bo reason and is the worst teacher I've ever had. Can't believe I have to pay for this bs class.

Ms. Casqueiro is not the best teacher. She laughs unnecessarily during her lectures as the class stares at her, her lectures towards the end of the semester get very long and boring especially if she's passionate about the subject,she tends to say everything but later tells you that you won't need to remember it. Final is take home but still tough.

She is the worst teacher I have taken so far. Her class is suuuper boring. You HAVE to do the final poster project in order to pass. That is literally all she cares about. If your group members have suddenly gone missing she lets you figure it out or do the poster by yourself. Seriously take another teacher if possible.

This class was so boring and possibly the worst class I have ever taken. Her take home tests are difficult, and you have to read the book to get a good grade on her tests. She offers small extra credit on tests (essay prompt) and a trip to the zoo. It's boring listening to her after 5 minutes. Take another teacher if you can!

When Casqueiro taught her class, it reminded me of William Shatner, to be honest. Easy class, but extremely difficult to listen to for an hr and a half. One good thing is that she does play some really interesting videos.

don't buy book. tests are simple. she likes using scientific names for everything- but u don't need to know all of them. when she repeats something- write it down cuz it'll be on the test. take home quiz r kinda hard. ec on test is SUPER easy. ec trip to zoo is fun, no hw, have 2 do group proj/presentation-> pick smart ppl! easy class, nice teacher

Great Teacher. Very passionate about Anthropology i learned alot.boring class but Her tests are easy, doesn't really give homework you don't need to book all you need to do is show up to class and listen for the important stuff (you know its important because she repeats it a million times). I Definately recommend this class for everyone.

Teacher is funny, like a hippie in a good way. She cares a lot of antro, I dont. Class is open book/notes which made it easier, but most found it difficult still. You have to identify parts (bones,teeth), and animals. FIELD TRIP,a +! Group work,a +! She is a Nice person and friendly! Not a bad choice for a teacher!

MOST BORING CLASS EVER!!! SHE RLY NEEDS A MAKEOVER AND SHE HAS THIS WEIRD HABIT OF DRINKING WAYYYY TOO MUCH WATER OUT OF HER WATER BOTTLE EVERY 2 SECONDS. CLASS WAS USELESS I LEARNED NOTHING. YOU PRETTY MUCH DO THE SAME STUFF EVERY CLASS, SHE SETS UP STATIONS AND YOU DO WORKSHEETS EVERY SINGLE CLASS.

BORING!!although she does seem to be very knowledgable about the subject, her teaching style makes anthroplogy uninteresting to learn afterwards. first off her water-bottle drinking is very annoying and second she always seems to humor herself when nobody in the class seems to even care at all! def. not the best teacher to take for anth1.dont take!

Anthro 1 is a very easy A. Exams are all from the textbook and take home quizes are all from the articles. Show up to class and you'll get an A. Good to clear out GE's but probably not the best teacher if you are very devouted or interested in the subject
