I enjoyed going to this class. Nelle is very easy going and approachable. She grades rather tough, but that's expected in any foreign language course. The class is very unique from all the other classes I've taken at ISU. You really get a chance to get to know your classmates and the video project was a lot of fun! I still watch it from time totime

Nelle filled in for N. Goodman for our class this semester and I found that I liked her, but she's a bit inconsistent. She grades tough but teaches the class very laid back. She tend to get sidetracked talking about stories and politics, but it makes time go by faster. Always have a response ready, as she calls on people randomly. Okay overall

Overall I think she is a good teacher. Is very enthusiastic, but is a tough grader. She does show your mistakes in front of the whole class. Teaches you a lot about the culture, and you have to be willing to put some time into the class.

Terrible. I couldn't believe the stuff she did in class.. She had loud convesations across the room in english while half the class was still taking tests!!! She forced people to read their wrong answers to the class and explain why they got it wrong.... BEFORE she taight us what she was marking wrong!!!! she is the WORST teacher I have ever had!!

she was awesome, i loved her! When i entered her class i was concidering dropping french altogether, and by the time my time ended with her i chose to do a major in it! Very helpful to go to her office hours and talk to her!

I loved her! I was dreading taking French but it ended up being one of my favorite classes this semester. She has a wonderful sense of humor and keeps the class productive in a fun way. There aren't very many out of class assignments, and if you study like maybe 15 minutes a day, show up to class, you should do really well. She's lovely.

Realized there was a problem when she started to say, "Maybe we should start speaking in French." I've been through 4 foreign languages, and she's the only professor to regularly speak English. Really a nice prof to get along with, you just won't learn anything in class.

Absolutely loved her! Is incredibly helpful and willing to meet with you on anything. Definitely worth taking the class - although she does grade tough, keep on asking questions and always always always participate in class - she loves that!
