Had him for Development of Western Music. He doesn't offer any help or any extra credit. Insists that reading the textbook is the only way to do well. Gives review sheets for the exams that are not comprehensive of what is actually on the exam. You take two tests and a final paper. I wouldn't suggest him for non-music majors.

This guy's class is super simple and easy, but his grading policies are way too rough. He expects too much from his students in what is quite honestly a B.S. class. He almost never gives higher than a B+ on his papers...yeah he's one of THOSE professors. He is famous though...won a Pulitzer in '04. REALLY nice guy...oddly dramatic at times...

if your not a music major, then the class is beyond boring. but he is good at what he teaches and i recommend the class even though it was boring becasue there are no tests at all and grades are based on 3 HW's and attendance. so if your not a music major, just show up, sit in the back of the room playin on your phone, and u might just get your A

Nice guy. Funny. Lousy teacher. He plays favorites. Also has issues with non-music major students, male students (prefers to teach girls), and has no appreciation for nor gives any help to those with any learning disabilities.
