Prof White can be very boring. He struggles with time management; he often spends too much time making sure we understand one part of a novel when we have several more parts that we need to go through. He can be interesting to talk to, outside of class. His class in general though tends to be dry.

He is very interesting man and has interesting ideas that he really wants to share. He needs to learn to teach without reading his notes though. Overall I enjoyed the class and learned how to think critically about literature. I am considering taking another class with him this coming year.

Soooo boring. Uhmm uhmm uhmm uhmm... you end up counting the uhm's rather than listening - although it doesn't matter if you listen or not because he just reads out of the text and then gives a very very shallow critical reading. I did not learn shakespeare through him - i learned it on my own. Nice class for a nap
