A really kind professor. Lectures are boring, but he is kind of funny. Test review helped, but you could get by with your notes and memorizing the pictures.

Although he is very "old school", I was impressed with his lenience for students who had problems getting work turned in on time and with some less than respectful behaviors. He lectured during the entire class every day and never wasted our time. Prepare to study and write but he is generous with his praise. Grading was tough but fair.

Super easy A. Come to class, take a few notes, study. If you're good at memorization, this class is for you. Only graded by 3 exams.

I learned a lot in his class. Unfortunately, he is a lecture-style professor and does not engage the class at all while he goes on and on about subjects he knows very well and the class knows very little. It was hard to stay awake sometimes. Most importantly, make sure to go to the Review days and memorize all the slides! This class was an easy A.

Class was as simple as it gets. If you're truly interested in art, then regularly attend class. If not, he reviews EVERYTHING that will be on the test the class before, usually Tuesday. He is incredibly fair on grading the tests. Overall a great professor and a passionate art enthusiast, in my opinion.

There is only 3 tests but tells you exactly what is on them. Start studying after every chapter. He says "um" in about every sentence. If you are not good at memorization , then don't even bother taking Art History. Go to the review dates and he tells exactly what is on the test

If you aren't good at memorizing pictures and dates, this is not the class for you. Pawlowicz is monotone, and says "um" a lot. The class is really boring. He knows a lot about art history, and he tells you exactly what will be on the test.

Forgot course number but it was Art History 1. The dude is definitely knowledgeable and deeply passionate about the subject. He says "Um" a ton but its hilarious. He highlights the slides you have to know for the test. Attendance is not mandatory so you can just show up for the review days if you want, which I did. He gives all info for test then!

Very monotone and boring lecturer, so pop some caffeine into your system. Very easy class since he pretty much tells you what is extremely likely to be on the test. I went about half the time and had little trouble getting a good grade. Going on review and test days are essential. Pawlowicz knows his stuff.

He is very good at what he does, and knows the material well. He is pretty funny in a dry way. The class may seem boring at times but go to class. Go to review days he tells you exactly what you will see on the test. Pretty easy class!

This class is absolutely boring! I practically fell asleep every class because he just rambles the whole time. There wasn't any discussion, just him talking the entire class. He's a nice guy, but the class is not enjoyable at all. Plus, you have 3 grades the entire semester and that's it. Definitely need to go to class and review days to do well.

Professor Pawlowicz is very knowledgable. No matter how boring you find his class, attendance is necessary to get an A. Start studying about a week before the exams since you only have 3 grades and it is a lot of dates. He will answer any questions, and make sure you attend the review days. I would be more than happy to take his class again. :)

great teacher, a bit droning when he's going on about all his art stuff. but tests are easy, even if you skim through your book you'll do fine. just listen to him during classes and you'll be okay too. slide IDs are easy to do if you take pictures and keep them on your phone while taking the test!

Gives you basically 3 grades the whole year, attendance is not mandatory and he basically rambles on and doesn't allow time for questions. If you pay attention, go to class, study, and read you will be fine.

Someone said they hated this guy and the way he taught the class, but I completely disagree. He tells you everything you need to know for the test. I loved his tangents and he's a plethora of information. Great class that's an easy A. Played Solitaire while listening and typing notes. Reviewed a few days in advance and A+ was no problem.

He's pretty laid back. The um's got really annoying though, but overall a good teacher. If you pay attention in class and study some for the tests you'll be fine.
