This lady is very kind and you can learn here. I took her years ago, and I wish her well. I remember I had faintly drawn :( on my exam, and when she was distributing them back she tacitly said you did well, no need to be sad or something of that sort. She is full of nice gestures and was quite quirky.

Be prepared to do a lot of homework! The homework is not difficult and helps prepare you for tests. She really wants you to do well in class. Pace-wise, we went at a good speed but it FELT extremely slow. She's kind of a slow speaker.

You need the textbook and the workbook for sure, but she is the cutest little Spanish teacher ever and I would TOTALLY take her class again. The whole class got along so well. We had fun while still learning. Homework every night and a lot of little and easy tests and vocabulary quizzes. But it's easy and fun. Great professor!

Profesora Ara is amazing. Highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Spanish. She is so kind and helpful. You can tell she loves her students. Every class is well organized and prepared and I really enjoyed her class.

Really great teacher for Spanish 1. She is very patient to help any student that needs help. Easy A if you just do all the homework and do decent on tests. I got a B, but that was my fault for not doing some of the homework. She allows late work for half credit, but don't take too long to do them and get overwhelmed. Overall, great teacher to learn

I respect her as a teacher, and she is really there to teach her students Spanish. There is homework everyday and a quiz at the end of every chapter (+) tests every 2. I enjoyed her class and the fact of the matter is learning another language is incredibly hard but she does her best to make herself available to those willing to learn.

I am taking a spanish 1 class. spanish ONE! ONE!!! It should be basic spanish. However Professor Ara does speak in spanish, she RARELY explains what she is saying. She once said that she is just trying to get us used to the spanish language. What a joke. Homework everyday, quizzes or tests every week. Unless you are fluent in Spanish, SKIPPERINO.

Profesora Ara is very clear with the material and expects students to participate. There is a lot of in-class group work and homework every day (which isn't due til the test day) The tests are well outlined and make sense. She is also one of the nicest professors I've had and she is always available and willing to help anyone. Take Profesora Ara!!!

Mrs. Pilar is amazing. Her class is easy if you just keep up with her homework. She cares a lot about her students and wants them to want to learn (participate). Hates when students leave early and takes attendance everyday, just be a college student. It's not that hard.

Profesora Pilar was very nice. Her class was super easy. She has a policy for late work, can be late up to 5 days for full credit, after that, partial credit. Tests are easy. Midterm and Final are cut and paste from previous test. Highly recommend if you want an easy A in Spanish.
