I took this professor class a few years back. His lectures were extremely interesting. He motivated me to become the activist I am today. He definitely uses education as a tool to inspire students to transform the world.

Hands down the worst professor. He did not read from the text or give any tests. There were a few papers and he graded them really hard. He tried intimidating students and judged them if their opinions did not match his. If students did not give feedback, participate or were on their phones he would get aggravated or kick them out. DO NOT TAKE!

Elderly teacher. Doesn't assign work. Class is basically open conversation. Doesn't teach anything. You can probably learn a few life lessons, but taking his class is overall frustrating. also a Tough grader (for the 2 papers he assigned - Midterm, and final), DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.

If you have him as a professor drop the class while you can. It's a complete waste of time. Talks about the same stuff every class. Never once talked about criminology when the class is criminology class. Gives two papers, if you don't agree with his onions you will do bad. Avoid at all costs

Syllabus has 0 grading criteria/grade breakdown. focuses on government corruption and the negativity of our system. gets upset when students don't contribute to class discussion, but when they do he insults them and their opinion. he is too closed minded and we have yet to have educational discussions in class

Good Teacher . However, he doesn't teach by the textbook. butttt his lectures are very interesting . Participation is very important make sure you share your thoughts with the class and engage in the lectures even if its just stating your opinion or if you have a question. only assigns 2 papers. best professor i had this semester .

Took this class during the summer session, very fair grader and interesting lectures. A lot of the students including myself paid attention. He gives a contrasting view to what the media feeds us. This class makes you think.

His class is easy but the things he talks about are horrible. All about conspiracy and all his personal opinion. You don't have to do anything in the class but listen, however you won't learn a single thing. You will disagree with everything he says. I would NOT recommend this professor to ANYONE. Plus he's late to every class...annoying.

I took his criminology course a while back. Easy course that includes two essays.Kirkood is different from most professors because he teaches based on opinion rather then fact. Some of his views make sense while others may not. Other then that, it is an interesting class.

Very different from any other professor ive ever had. I may not agree with him on everything but he does make good arguments. Got an A by just reciting his opinions on my 2 papers and going to class. Easy stuff and a very nice man.

I loved it! He, like any other human being has questions and opinions about many different topics. His was of teaching is more like challenging you. That i def love because most of the time you go to a class the professors are the only ones talking. Him on the other hand likes to be challenged as well. I loved it, you would too!

Walks a very fine line between **** and bigot. He is very eager to engage anyone in debate about anything; do not debate him unprepared. Only gave two essays leaving a majority of the grade as part of the class discussion(s). Highly opinionated, defensive and striking statements. Keep an open mind when listening to him; do not "jump the gun."

He is a very, intelligent individual. His idea's can seem almost offensive at first, but he does make excillent points. He likes students that participate. He is truly interested in his work. You will be exposed to many diff. things. be prepared. There are no tests, and two papers. I LOVED THE CLASS!! TAKE IT!
