three exams basically determine your grade, the material is super tricky if you're not a psych major or want to go into neuropsych I would recommend a different class. Nothing to do with theory and all memorization of biomedical aspects and statistics. Overall unhappy I took the class.

Dr. Contrada is a great person, I would recommend attending his class because you learn a lot and understand the material very well. His lectures are so interesting and he is very knowledgeable in his field. I got an A in his class, but yeah definitely I had to prepare well. He is extremely caring. Going to class will help you earn extra credits.

Although he does state he does not require anyone to come to class, going to class will earn you extra credit. This semester, he used Socrative to give extra credit. His lectures are very interesting and he has a few meme's hidden in the lectures. 3 non-cumulative multiple choice exams, but they are tough, worth 85% of your grade. 8 HW's worth 15%

Professor Contrada definitely cares about his students and the material that he teaches. There are 3 non-cumulative exams. The final was a bit more tricky than the two mid-term exams. He also gave several homework assignments, which were pretty easy. Overall, good professor. You could easily get a B in this class; A if you put in effort.

Very passionate about what he teaches. Uploads his notes online, but going to class still helps. Exams are fair with some tricky questions but he offers assignments which are relatively easy to help your grade. Would recommend.

the first 2 exams were cake, which lead me to thinking the final would be cake. I was wrong. it was very tricky and had multiple answers that could be right. when i went to the TA to see it, even she couldnt choose between certain answer choices. so be very wary of the final. I had an A in the class up until the final and then ended up with a B.

Professor Contrada is a very kind man and there for his students, always willing to answer questions in class, after class, and through the chatroom. Health Psych is a doable A if you go to class and take notes (he leaves fill ins). 3 non-cumulative exams but lots of memorization. Very interesting class and I'd recommend it! No Textbook needed.

Lectures can be a bit boring sometimes, but he is very straightforward & nice. Provides study guides & practice questions for every exam. The exams are not bad at all and are curved a small amount.

Lecture is kind of boring. The material itself is elementary, but the exams can be kind of tricky. Provides very solid study guides for exams. Make sure you memorize his annoying models. I'd say its' a very easy B, and an A is certainly doable provides you put in a decent amount of effort.

Overall, the class is general topics. Although he jokes around, class is pretty boring. Assignments are easy. I ONLY recommend if you're good retaining A LOT of info. Final is a lot harder than the midterm. He provides reviews which help but to a minimal level. Curve is only a 2 pt doesn't help at all. Could've gotten a B but not a gpa booster.

I thought Contrada was a great professor. The content can be dry but his enthusiasm and occasional sarcasm makes it interesting. Homework is easy and if you study for the mid/final exams you'll pass no problem. It's not mandatory to go to class but he leaves stuff off the slides. If you plan on helping people as a career, take this class!

Nice prof (tho a bit dry), fairly easy class. I got a B even though I slept through most of the classes...could've gotten an easy A had I went to every class and took minimal notes. There's like 5 online assignments and they're simple. I think he made the exams easier after reading the old reviews below..no stats or major bio on the tests.

You think the class is easy until the final. So many details that you have to memorize and he tests on on the exam. Boring class, not mandatory but if you decide to go you always end up regretting it. Had assignments every now and them that are easy but really tedious.

Very nice professor, well spoken and knows the material. Their is a midterm and a final, both of which he gives you very clear study guides for. Their are various easy assignments that in the end make up an easy 30% of your final grade. Every lecture is on sakai, so if you miss a class its no big deal. Overall, very interesting class.

This class is a fairly easy B, provided you do the exam reviews and ALL the assignments (which are easy). The exams are tricky and will probably prevent you from getting an A. The curve isn't very helpful and only brought me up 2 points (87 to 89). Overall, I would say take a different professor. If you're okay with a B, then take him.

Pretty fair class. No book. Attending lectures isn't too necessary, he posts his slides which are pretty thorough in information. There are like 8 incredibly easy assignments which are done through Sakai. The exams are a little tricky but nothing that would cause mayhem to your GPA.

Very easy class, only 2 tests, no book. Final much harder than the midterm but a huge curve. Do the assignments and come to class for the in-class assignments. He likes to entertains his audience.
