Nice teacher! He makes going to class mandatory but all he does is read off the slide and it gets BORING! But take the time to take notes and begin memorizing for the exam when he goes into depth on the cities and attractions. There are also 2 projects. Biggest advice is to go to class and to try to do all the EXTRA CREDIT! It helps so much!

Randall has been my favorite professor thus far. His classes are interesting, funny, and packed full of facts. I didnt even realize I was learning, until test time rolled around and I flew through them. Tests can be tricky if you dont study, but he grades on a curve and youll get a hang of it after the first test or two. All around great prof.

I found tests to be a little difficult. He does T/F for roughy 20 questions, then does multiple choice. Found the multiple choice to be difficult, as you learn on average about 20 countries (maybe a few less) and things about them and then are graded. Overall, not much homework besides a couple assignments. Gives good feedback.

Easy enough class, mostly lectures everyday and informational videos. A pretty easy A. You are graded on tests which are somewhat detailed, make sure you read the chapter and take specific notes on the power points. Attendance was extra credit and he uses humor in his lectures which is always nice. You have to do a bit of work, but not a hard A.

We come to class take notes, or watch informational videos. Really interesting and nothing rigorous, the projects aren't hard either. Gives points for attendance and lots of extra credit opportunities

This class was a lot of work. Tests on a TON of slides and almost impossible to know it all for the exam. I don't think I got above a D on the tests and I don't usually get those grades. You also have to make 4 travel itineraries which are pretty easy but take a LONG time. The final one is for a 10 day one and mine was 18 pages. He's understanding!

Baker is a good professor. He is getting tougher on his grading I think though. This class is demanding of specific information in your papers. Overall, it was interesting with Baker.

Baker is a moderate teacher. His tests are difficult and you need to study the quizes. You will get a park you report on. Visit park, write paper and do okay on quizes and you'll get a B.

The assignments themselves are not very hard at all. If you do them right he grades pretty well. The tests are very easy if you study the notes otherwise they are a little hard. Randy's lectures are very interesting and he has notes to download, which makes studying them easier.

No book just notes & a project on developing a community's tourism. Great class & great prof likes his job and students always understanding when you go to talk to him about a problem. I highly suggest dropping in during his office hours. P.S. Some people do find community studies interesting :)

OK. He is a good guy but the class sucks. So many community visits make me sick. Nobody wants to know rural uncharming villeges in Minnesota.
