She uses an online homework system that takes an ungodly amount of time to complete. Her lectures seem to drag on even tho she does try to make them a little fun. If you put in a decent amount of outside work you should be able to pass this course. She loves when you visit her during her office hours.

Honestly, her teaching style is not one that I liked. She tends to be all over the place and makes it hard to pay attention. The online homework is EXTREMELY annoying. I dropped the class and realized after taking this class that chemistry is not something that everyone understands, especially with a teacher that does not make sense.

What I absolutely loved about Dr Roesner's class was her online homework system. The homework can take a while (2 hours for me, probably lot longer for others) but she only assigns about 1 hw every 2 weeks. It is SO helpful and the hw alone preps you for the test. I didn't have to refer to my book except once to memorize the solubility rule. 10/10

Dr. Roesner is very intelligent and is helpful during office hours. Lectures are not very exciting because she writes every detail on the board. Online homework is long and tricky. Class notes are the only thing needed to study for tests.

She is a very intelligent professor. I found it hard to relate to her. If you are a chemistry wiz you will do well in her class. If your chemistry background is non-existent then you may struggle like I did. It is possible, just be prepared to spend hours and hours of your time on homework and studying.

Out of the 3 gen chem teachers, she teaches the slowest. She's about 1 unit behind the other professors somehow. Takes plenty of time in class to go over a few example problems. WRITES EVERYTHING that she says on the board, some useful, some not. Uses online homework system that you have to pay 60$ for.

TERRIBLE teacher. DO NOT take her. Does not teach clearly. Does not teach you the correct way to work out problems. All together, be prepared to teach yourself chemistry. Online homework is terrible. She gives examples in class, but none anywhere close to being like the problems on the assignment. My high school teacher could have taught better.

Dr. Roesner: Simply an amazing individual. She was incredibly helpful in her Gen Chem class. As a Chemistry major, her guidance was invaluable. Her guidance for finding a suitable career choice was brilliant. She is well willing to help beyond the Chemistry classroom. Do not comment on her laugh-that is plain dumb. GREAT professor overall.

The class is pretty boring, but she's a super nice lady and always always ready to help and very approachable. A lot of reading is expected, but if you don't do it, there's not really a consequence. She grades papers decently hard though.

I am no chemistry expert, but Roesner's lectures were very easy to follow. She answers questions and explains concepts very clearly. Her tests are straightforward from the text and notes. Overall, a very good professor. If you are trying to get your general chemistry requirement out of the way, take her class.

People who comment on her laugh are stupid--what does that have to do with her teaching? Out of the 3 gen chem teachers, she's definitely the easiest. She goes slow during lectures, always stops to thoroughly answer questions, and her tests are straight from the lecture. Doesnt care whether you show up to class. Always helps outside of lecture.
