Comment:

Persaud is a very knowledgable professor. His lectures go directly off the book so make sure to read the chapters. Tests are straightforward and easy is you have read. A bit lecture heavy but easy class if you're reading.

It's very difficult to understand him in either Spanish or English because he mumbles. Sit up in front and pay very close attention or you will be lost. He humiliated students in front of the class too many times. That's not cool.

Professor Persaud is a great professor! He treats his students very well and will offer helpful feedback if you ask. In terms of grading he's pretty straight forward, you have tests on the chapters from the text book, two writing assignments, a final quiz, and a paper on a topic of your choice. Its a great class!

He is a mediocre language teacher. For me, im not a spanish speaker. But it seems like everyone else in my class is. He tries to go too fast and can easily go way to quickly for me. He does go back if you ask him to at least, just dont be afraid to ask. He is willing to help and make sure you dont fail the class but he had to know you are trying.

He cares about your grade and is straight forward. Cares a lot about attendance and homework, typical of language courses. Tough vocabulary quizzes every week. At the end of the day hell help you get whichever grade you need.

I would not suggest you take this class if you are a non native and actually want to learn anything. He never taught any grammar or anything that would be on exams, and he was extremely rude to students, publicly humiliating them in class, by asking personal questions such as their current GPA, which in my opinion, is extremely inappropriate.

Dr. Persaud has been doing this for a very long time. He mentions that he is about to retire take his class before he leaves, because he will teach you something. He's lenient with his students, because he does not find the need to torment his students. He respects students and vice versa. Lectures are a bit boring, but the material is interesting.

He's a really nice person, he goes a bit off topic at times but he means no harm. His homework was not difficult at all and neither were his tests. Definitely recommend his class.

In high school, I hated Spanish but as I came to college, I was in desperate need to brush up my skills. So I took his class and I enjoy it so much! He's understanding too and will help you if you need it. Take this class! The lectures are boring but trust me it's fun!

He came off as abrasive at first, but later on in the semester he was cracking some pretty funny jokes. I personally liked it when he went of on tangents; they're usually a dose of history and current events. He's also very understanding when it comes to the needs of his students.

He teaches way too fast and expects people to get the material right away. Don't take this class if you are not a native speaker. Compared to my amazing Spanish 1 teacher, Rincon, he is a lot less patient and understanding, and his class is very boring.

The class is so boring that I feel like clapping when its finally over. I have to force myself to come to it. He always skips me when it comes to presentations and questions which I was grateful for at first but now its kind of rude and obvious to the whole class. If you don't speak or read Spanish very good I would take someone else.

I did not like his style of teaching. I would go to class and have to go home and reteach myself everything. Without someone at home who has taken spanish classes before I would have had so much trouble. He is nice, but sometimes a hot head. Do the workbook, it is a better teacher than he is.
