Honestly the best professor I've had here. She makes her lectures entertaining and makes the material super understandable. She also gave us a link to a video series that amazingly cleared up conceptual concepts. Unlike most math 380 professors, she genuinely cares about her students not only passing, but getting good grades. Highly recommend.

She is very caring, was the first prof I had at UW like this. She consistently asks whether we understand things in lecture and gives us advice on how to study and do well in the class. She also created more office hours during dead week to help us out more. If you have the option, definitely take Prof. Thomas.

She is one of the best professors on math department. She makes sure YOU understand the subjects,works from example to abstract. Lots of office hours and extra help but you need to contribute to your learning as well. TAKE HER class AND SHARE HER MATH ENTHUSIASM. Want to get to grad school or get a job she will help! She is beyond a lecturer.

She talks more about the class than she talks about the material. Says the theory is most important, and that all the algorithms are now done by computer, but offers zero partial credit on exams (which are all mechanical equation manipulation), even if the theory is correct.

She is perhaps one of the finest math instructors I had in my freshman year. The exams can be challenging, but if you took some form of college math in high school, you should be fine. Even then, expect to put a lot of time to this course so don't be discouraged if you didn't have that opportunity.

She is really one of the best math professors you will find. Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow. She explains topics very well, but you have to keep up and pay attention. Tests werent terribly hard. Got a 3.7 and didnt put much effort into the class!

I really enjoyed this class. I thought she did a really good job teaching the material, even though it was all directly out of the textbook it really helped me by going to class. Her tests are more than fair if you study. I really recommend her.

She is one of the best math teachers i have had and really makes sure that you understand the material instead of just having you memorize formulas. I actually enjoy going to class. The exams are difficult but as long as you do the hw and go to class they will mostly consist of problems you have seen before. i definitely recommend this class!

this teacher is pretty no-nonsense. she is really smart and obviously knows her stuff, but be careful-she assumes everyone is as into calculus as her and expects students to spend a TON of outside time on it.

She was an awesome professor! I loved her lectures. Her tests followed the homework and examples in class very closely (but still made sure you really KNEW the material), and she explained everything so well.
