This class was probably the easiest class I've taken at Suffolk. I really enjoyed his lectures and personal stories. There are few quizzes and tests (some take home and some open book) The final is take home. There is one easy two page double spaced paper, definitely recommend taking this class!! Easy A!

one of the best professors to take for criminal justice, he shares many of his personal stories. Critical thinking does take part in his class but for the most part I enjoyed it.

He is probably one of the most incredible teachers I've ever had, he's been in the police field for 30+ years and he knows EVERYTHING you've ever wanted to know, he genuinely cares about his students and the stories he tells from being in the field are always awesome, i wish he was my prof. for every class, gunna miss this class so much!!!!

I would take him for every class if I could! Easy to talk to, very understanding. A few quizes with about 10 questions that a super easy. Take home final and one essay! if you can take any of his classes do it! He wants to help and make it easy for you.

my absolute favorite class. he is SO awesome. all his tests and quizzes are take home which is cool just make sure you do them. no phones in his class he really does want everyone to learn. i love his stories about his time in the work field. he's truly such a great man. completely recommend him!!!

he is a great professor and he has real stories about his life in the law enforcement. he is very educated, funny and teaches very good. his class is easy,pay attention tho and his quizzes are very easy. is final is somewhat easy but you do need to study, it is also a take home final. he grades fairly but the one paper we have he did graded though.

He is a great teacher. He worked for suffolk county police. His test are easy if you pay attention He does not like phones and tries to see if youre on them. He talks A LOT about his past as the police commissionar, but most of it is interesting. He brings in a few guests and they are actually entertaining. You will love him.

Dormer is the best professor I have ever had, I wish I could take the class all over again. He encourages discussions, and is always happy to answer any questions you have. As long as you put in the effort you will pass, he is very lenient with deadlines, but won't let students take advantage of his kindness. He will keep your attention. Take him!
