Comment:

Professor Hollinger is wonderful. Unfortunately, he is retiring so people will not get to witness the genius that is him. He is a leading researcher on employee theft and it showed in his lectures. Also, the papers are 8-12 pages, but with all of sections required, it is easy to meet the page limit. I did not have a problem at all with it.

If you want to do well in this class all you have to do is attend every day and take notes. Old fashioned teacher, you read he lectures. There are 2 exams, a midterm and a non-cumulative final. There is an 8 page midterm paper and an 8 page final paper. You chose the topic. 4 grades, that's it. Made me more interested in White Collar Crime!

The class is composed of a midterm, a final, and two 12-page research papers- each worth 50 points. I was given an A- on one of my papers, and he could not tell me why! There is no official rubrik used in grading papers! Overall he was a nice guy, but does not offer any extra credit or supplemental grades. There is lots of boring readings..prepare!

Very nice guy and knowledgeable, but goes into unnecessary tangents and rants that have nothing to do with the material in the class. Tests are straightforward and easy if you attend class. It was often frustrating to sit through the class.

Horrible professor. Goes super slow in class. Final was on 6 chapters, 3 of which he never spoke about in class until the day of the test review, then had questions on the test that he didn't tell us to go over during the test review. Do not take.

good teacher, very friendly. let me turn in a paper three weeks late for 20% off. tests are easy if you go to class. goes off on a lot of irrelevant tangents, probly cause the course doesnt need to cover much material. you have to write a research paper and do a security assessment, but they dont require much thinking and are mostly just tedious.

Very easy class if you have any clue about criminology. Dont even need to go. The day before the exam he 'hints' at what 'might' be on the exam and practically GIVES you the answers.

The class is interesting, he tends to go off on tangents but they are all relevent to the material. The papers are fine as long as you do exactly what he says. He has lots of life experience and shows a few movies(most are good) both help explain the material.Tests are fine just read and go to class

A great professor for teaching Deviance and a fair grader. Get to watch a lot of a movies in the class of which 90% are good movies with 10% being boring. Also have to write 2 small paper on deviant acts and behaviors. Don't freak out on the papers!!
