Comment:

Took for an online Shakespeare class. Read a play a week and a five page paper a week as well as daily paragraph-long prompts. Website is unbelievably helpful, with a ton of information. Also allows you to rewrite papers for a better grade. Great class to take over the summer!

Initially not too interested, but ended up loving it. 6 papers in 6 weeks. Q's every M-F. Seems intimidating--not AT all--especially for a summer course. If you have 30 mins every day plus time to write a paper (you can redu them), I would 100% recommend this. Regan responds to emails expeditiously, is very informative, and is a very fair grader

He actually succeeds in making Shakespeare clear and interesting. He knows his stuff and can communicate well to the class. Teaches the plays by showing excerpts rather than just discussion, and records every class so you can listen if you miss it. He's easily reached by email and is quick and fair in his grading.

Dr. Regan is the man! I loved Shakespeare coming into the class, but you don't need to love The Bard to do well in his class. He takes tough language and makes it clear. You read a play a week and write a 2-pg response to each one. Three quote tests that aren't bad. Must write long research paper to get an A. He's the nicest guy you'll ever meet.

Professor Regan is the best teacer i have taken at Fairfield, he is a leniant grader, he gives plenty of time to hand in work, basically a 3 page paper once a week on a play that you watch a movie for, then three tests on quotes he goes over and over on in every class and then finally an 8-10 page paper of your choosing. ull neer want to miss class

Amazing. Friendly, helpful, lenient and challenging at the same time. If you think you can handle a weekly paper (useful in itself), I highly recommend taking any class you can with the guy. Learned more than I ever wanted to know about comedy theory.

Dr. Regan is such an incredible man. He CLEARLY is Fairfield's go-to-guy for Shakespeare, but he can also add Comedy to his title. I never really thought about the theory behind comedy, but guess what? There's tons of it! Great guy, open, honest, allows re-writes & loves TECHNOLOGY! Watch movies every class, literally!
