Professor Fanger was one of the most influential teachers of my life. If I did not have the good fortune to study with him, my world view and understanding would be a fraction of what it is now. He is a true mentor.

I graduated last Spring with a 3.33 gpa and only recieved one C my entire college career, guess which class I recieved me C in? I partially blame myself bc i skipped about 5 classes but I know I was near an 80 going into the final and the final was impossible, he said the bulk of the final was straight from the book and it wasnt. too confusing.

class can get boring, but this guy knows what he's talking about. tests are hard only because they are sooooo long (90 questions+) not the most thrilling time of my life, but he always made me laugh. and if you like to skip, i don't think 60% of my class was ever there...

I would not recommend this class to anyone. Extremely hard tests. Hard to understand do to his MS, which really is unfortunate. Although it is unfortunate, it is also not fair that students need to try and learn from it.

As long as you can get past his MS, this guy is great! He can tend to get a little short with people at times, so try to clarify your thoughts. He is hilarious and has great jokes for the intellectual mind. If you are person that loves learning about science and culture, take this course!!!

He's a nice guy and knows his stuff, but his tests are hard- some questions are obvious, while others are on seemingly obscure info. I don't regret taking the course, but I'm not so sure I'd do it again. If you're looking to take Intro, take Delle.
