Rick's the best! The class gets boring but he keeps it interesting with videos and stories about his family. You really don't need to attend class so if you don't, just attend one of his study sessions before the test and do the study guide. He'll cover everything you need to know. If you want an easy class/easy A, take this class.

Comment:

Amazing teacher for my first semester of college. He's clear on his grading, very entertaining--even to the point where I'd come to class just to hear his rambling, and he's just an amazing person who loves what he does. I really recommend his class.

Eager to teach and loves doing it. Points out what parts of lecture are on exams. Gives helpful study guides. Attendance somewhat mandatory due to in class activities for credit and small discussions where attendance is taken.

Super easy class. Similar to PSY 100. Exams are straight to the point and basically the same as the study guide. Attendance is mandatory and lots of group discussions. No actual homework except for an easy assignment folder that's due at the end of the course.

Rick was awesome! He was so caring and loves to get to know his students before his lectures start! He helped me so much, and learned some good information (but im a business student lol) Class was 2 exams and a final with a folder to do throughout the semester. Attendance is used for points so show up! I recommend this professor you will love him!

He's my favorite professor of all time! He's so caring and will make the effort to talk and get to know you. If he taught more classes I'd definitely take them. Grade is based on your attendance that he keeps track of using small group activities per lecture, 2 midterms, a final, and a project folder. Go to his exam reviews; they really help!

Rick is very nice and cares a lot about his students. His lectures are very entertaining and full of useful information. He shows many examples through videos and stories to help us master certain concepts. He is very funny and you can always rely on his words and character to give you a smile each class. Definitely take any class from him.

Rick was overall one of the best teachers that I will possibly have during my years at UH. He taught very thoroughly, and covered the topics in an outgoing, and fun way. I always looked forward to going to class, as he made it fun and energetic in the room. He went over all of material multiple times, and the exams are easy and non-cumulative!

Caulfield is a wise man with a wonderful, caring personality. His class was a typical lecture class, but his philosophy when it comes to teaching made it enjoyable. He clearly wants every student to succeed. Class is graded based on 4 exams and a portfolio of assignments, 1 extra credit assignment offered. Attend the study sessions - free answers!

Really nice guy who is passionate about what he teaches. Sometimes it's hard to understand what he is saying and he doesn't post slides, but he emphasizes the important parts and basically tells you what's on the exams. Goes over questions word for word in office hours. Always ends class 15 minutes early. Really easy A and a fun class to attend.

Rick is one of the most caring and hilarious professors at UH. He's very helpful and a great guy. Book isn't mandatory; I personally didn't need it. Come to class every day (he covers what will be on the exam, do the assignments, make conversation from time to time, and you'll pass. Would take class again. Extra credit offered.

He can talk fast at times, but it's easy to figure it out based on his slides. He emphasizes on topics that will be on the exam, and he even tells you a few exam questions to look out for. Awesome teacher, and the class teaches you a lot of great skills/knowledge that can be used later in life.

He is such a passionate teacher and I really wish there were more classes I could take from him!!! He is so sweet and willing to help. He talks fast sometimes but you get used to it. Definitely go to the review sessions before exams, and although attendance is optional, it counts! He is so sweet and his TA is awesome. By far my favorite professor!

Dr. Caulfield still to date is my most favorite professor at UH. He explains things really well and makes it known that your always welcome to stop by his office hours for any help. Caulfield is really warm, friendly and helpful if you ever choose to go to his office hours. Loved his class soo much I decided to switch majors and major in FAMR!

Comment:

He's so great (: Walks around the lecture hall before class and gets to know his students. He can talk a lot and rambles sometimes, but overall easy to understand. Gives a really good study guide for the three exams. Go to every class so you can get the prompts he gives out for the folder you need to turn in at the end of the course.
