Not the greatest for an online class, I specifically take online classes (for GE) to work around my busy schedule of full time plus being a full time in class student at a trade school. I leave my house at 6am get home at 10pm, which meant for me that I had to either stay up until 12am-1am or wake up at 3am to complete the quiz and test on time.

It was an 8-week course, so the units and tests were a bit longer, but it was manageable. Each weekly unit had around 30 minutes of video lecture, a 30 question sentence quiz, and a 100 question test. There were also 3 short discussions and a 1-2 page paper. The last assignment is a monologue, which is optional unless it changes your letter grade.

I had this instructor for SL 1 and I found it to be the best fit for my schedule. It was very clear and had plenty of time to complete my quizzes and exams. Since it's only an 8 week class we learned weekly and tested at the end of the week. Thank you Dr. Tamer!! This was a great class and I learned alot. Can't wait til SL 2

She will not answer questions sent via email. I don't understand how an online professor can just completely ignore students. I submitted multiple emails with a question and was totally ignored. very frustrating. If I were you, I'd take ASL with a different instructor.

I took ASL 1 and 2 at saddleback, and recently transfer to a different college. I realized what she thought me was below beginner. I have to catch up so hard now. I thought at first I was really good at it, but no.. it was not much teach for the real Deaf world.

This class was great for my schedule. It's an 8 week class and it was at an easy pace. Watch the lectures and take a quiz and test at the end of the week. Not bad at all

Such a ridiculous turn in time for assignments. If you have a full time job good luck with this class. Assignments/Test are due at 5pm, so if you work an 8-5 schedule or you basically get screwed out of a full day and get a shorter amount of time to work on your stuff. took an online class to make it easier on my schedule, made life more difficult.

Took the 8 week on-line course. Put effort into the class and you will get a good grade. There is no text book required, but you have to pay for a testing site to take exams. Always responds to emails quickly. Great professor!

Took this course online during the summer. Very easy, no book but you must pay for an online site where you take the tests. One sentence quiz and one test a week. The test is watching video of her signing (both test and quiz are multiple choice) One easy paper at the end and an optional assignment where you film yourself signing. Highly recommend!!

I took the online 8 week course. All YouTube videos which you are tested on each week. Learn at your own pace (gives you access to all units right away). No book, but makes you pay for an online website to take tests. Last week is optional depending on grade. Gave minimal effort got a B. You'll get an A if you pay attention.

Took this class online, its set up very clearly giving you opportunity to complete sections ahead of time. She responded quickly to all emails. If your going to take SL I recommend online, its 100x easier than in class and can be completed whenever you want. Plus its actually fun!

A fantastic person, but doing it online you get no practice, so all you can do is memorize and spit back vocabulary and maybe a few sentences. Easy class to get a good grade in, but if you really want to learn the language, you need to go where you can actually attend class and practice!!

ASL2. Took the 8 week class. Finished in 6 weeks. Very clear slides. There are test and homework assignments for each chapter. The homework is pretty easy. You have to review the slides to do well on the test. All in all pretty easy class.

She is a great teacher. I took her online summer course. I did learn many things in the class. She does not give extra credit. I recomend you watch the video twice. Once right befor the quizz online. She has a good sense of humor. I took this clas just for fun. You should be able to get a B in this course fairly easy. Very helpful material.

Mrs. Tamer was a very excellent teacher. I took the online class and it was a very interesting and informational class. It was good because you got to learn at your own pace and turn stuff in on your own time. You have to stay on top of everything and not get too behind. I learned a lot and would like to take SL 2 from her as well. Take the class!
