Comment:

I enjoyed the course. Lots of work, but the rewards are a reflection of your effort. Dr. Cody was open minded and extremely reasonable in grading. If you got an answer wrong and could make a valid argument for your reasoning, you received full credit. You need to attend class, show respect, and tell the truth if you have a problem.

Dr. Cody is a cool professor but he gives too many quizzes and his exams require at least one or two essays. not very reasonable considering you only have an hour and 15 minutes to complete them. He's a nice guy but makes you do A LOT of work so be prepared.

This class is extremely interesting. However, DR.Cody ability to constently controdict himself, becomes a uphill battle. I enjoy the class but is not an easy course. Be prepared to read alot and remember everything. He quizes once a week and test 3 times a semester. With everyt test you must write a 2-3 page paper on either fiction, poetry or drama

Great teacher! Very cool man with a ton of stories. He is very lenient with answers on tests if you talk to him about them. Has a slight southern accent, but that makes him cooler. Likes to talk about his wife and his younger days. He is very helpful and will answer any question you ask.

i absolutly adore Dr. Cody. he was hands down my favorite teacher so far here. he let me write on whatever i wanted, let me re-write my final essay because it wasn't long enough.. i love him!. im so upset that he's retired now, but he is a great guy. loves to talk about his wife, reads a lot, talks to you in class and you'd want him as a grandpa

this is the best english teacher at HCC!! the class is extremely easy but you do learn alot. and he is always VERY willing to help anybody who needs it. plus everything you need to know is given to you in class. id encourage everyone to take this class with him.

Dr. Cody was the best teacher I had at HCC. I now attend Towson University and in my opinion he really prepared me for English courses there. Wonderful teacher I took him two different times while I attended HCC. I recommend taking him for as many English classes as you can you will learn alot and he definetly inspires you. Makes time for you!!

Great guy!!! i had him when he was in the wheel chair.. tough o'l goat. can't say enough about it, he's high calaber! He will allow study sheets during the test. everyone always says how funny "thier" teacher is but he truely is funny. Take him, you love him.... one of my highlites at HCC
