Comment:

Switched to another professor halfway through the semester because I wasn't learning. Didn't follow the syllabus, yet expected you to. Refused to answer questions & was patronizing when you did. Tested on material that wasn't learned/assigned. Did not track our grades in a professional manner. Marked people absent that were there for weeks on end.

She expects you to know the language just like everyone else said. Before this class my last time taking a spanish class was 5 years ago. I somehow placed into this class. Each day she talks about different things, never goes over the same thing. The final was NOTHING of what we learned in class. I recommend taking this class with another teacher

I do not like this professor mainly because she expects you to know the languages and to be fluent in them. The reason we are taking these classes is to learn the language. She moves too fast and many people can't keep up. In my opinion I don't think she is a good professor.

Was trying to avoid this prof. because of the reviews, but had no choice. She always goes off topic and leaves no time for teaching. She speaks with too much exaggeration and makes it hard to understand her. Never know if there is a test or HW due because she is so disorganized. I haven't learned anything, that I didn't know already.

She has her own teaching methods that seem outdated. If you take any of her language course make you sure you understand that you are teaching yourself. Horrible test reviews (if you even get one). Had us study wrong material. Marked absent for classes I attend Doesn't respond to questions or emails. Would not recommend this teacher to my enemies.

unclear grading criteria, very tedious, can go off topic very easily which can get extremely confusing, doesn't go by her syllabus, disorganized, unreliable, and doesn't use blackboard or her email address. the way to pass her class: do homework (you teach yourself) and participate (hope you're not wrong) or she will yell.

I am a native french (Québec French) and English speaker and I think she is a good teacher who is very interested in languages. I have one fault with her and that fault is that her French pronunciation is off by a long shot she speaks with too much emphasis and it can be distracting when trying to understand her French.

I can't seem why this professor has so many negative reviews. I speak fluent french and this professor is awesome. She uses the immersion technique which is helpful when learning a new language. She is the sweetest lady and there for you when you need help. I love her class and can't what to learn new things.

She clearly has a non french accent and it's very hard to understand her if you don't have prior french knowledge. The text book was terrible. Fr101 was not thought of as a beginner's class, doesn't teach you how to conjugate avoir, faire, jouer until halfway through your course. She lectures the whole three hours with no small break in between.

An enthusiastic teacher and very good at teaching pronunciation, but she is also terribly disorganized and somewhat hard of hearing. Would be better teaching conversational French to someone who knows the basics already.

The WORST professor I have ever encountered. Unclear is an understatement. The syllabus was weeks and weeks off & she never revised it. Gave tests that were never discussed in class nor reviewed. Difficult to work with because she was stuck in her ways & you were just wrong. Save yourself the aggravation & skip her class. Take someone else

This class was a mess and a waste of time. She is so confusing, gives you a test 20 minutes before the end of class, spends either way too long, or hardly gives time for certain chapters. What bothered me most was the lack of ORAL and LISTENING practice in the classroom. She is enthusiastic and willing to help after class but BAD at teaching.

Sadly I had to take her twice and hated it both times. Very confusing will spend a month on one chapter then just a week on the next. Gives little time to take tests. Not understanding if person problem arises and need to miss a class. Gives letter grade on homework which only hurt me because I was still new to spanish. Overall STAY AWAY if you can
