I took his class back in 1996. I spent 30 minutes this morning reading all the comments about him; he hasn't changed at all over the years. He loved himself just as much then as he apparently does now. I've spoken to constituents about him over the years only to describe what my adulthood nightmares are made of. AVOID THIS CLASS. He suxs.

Thankfully, he's retiring, so you won't need to worry about taking him in the future. He teaches based off HIS writings and HIS pictures he has taken from his numerous trips to Rome and Greece. You could literally write down everything he says and read everything, and you would still answer questions wrong on the test! So glad it's over!

Literally the worst professor I have ever had. He spends half of his time mumbling about younger generations in his gravelly voice and the other half explaining how colleges aren't teaching the way they should. His lectures are stream of consciousness only, no structure whatsoever. And if you miss 3 classes or he sees a phone... You fail

Straightforward, but hard. Tells you exactly what you need to know, pay attention and you can do well. Lot of work despite this, though. If you just want to get your credit for some requirement, take somebody else, he demands a lot of work and interest. Interested in history? Good prof, knows a lot, lectures are good. Only need to read the plays.

Definition of an old tenured professor. Didn't actually take record of attendance and tried to tell me I missed 3 days and almost gave me a panic attack. Asks the most obscure questions from the reading and sometimes things that are not in the reading on tests. Really hung up on gender neutral bathrooms and told us what we study doesn't matter.

This man is extremely hard to relate to. I am unable to say what he is as an individual other than his traits include absurd amounts of cynicism. Do not take this class unless you enjoy an unreasonable challenge.

I am an English who has written a bounty of papers in my undergrad career. However, I have taken 600-level English classes that have not assigned as much writing as Dr. Kebric. The man treats this 300 level history course (which I merely took to fill out minor) like a graduate WR. Final paper is 20 pages minimum, needing more for an A. Absurd.

You must quote from the books in your papers. Papers are opinion-based but you HAVE to quote from articles in his book. So he just wants you to tell you he's right. Highly offensive. One class I almost walked out on because he was basically slamming Christianity the entire class. And made us affirm his opinion by listing the reasons why its fake.

If you don't come to class you won't pass, if you fail a test you won't pass, if you pay attention in class you won't pass. If you read you could pass but it's not likely. He has four test and two movie assignments and if you mess up on even one you won't pass. Basically if your in this class get out and if your not don't take it you'll regretit

I've taken Dr. Kebric 4 times thus far. He is a hard grader and can be a bit intimidating. But the man truly knows what he is teaching, and expects his students to take an interest as well. You'll work for your grade in this course, but you will learn a lot as well. Not for the faint of heart, but he has earned my respect.

Do not take his class. Unless you have no other option I would never take his class. DROP IT! His lectures are repetitive, boring, and offensive at times. You are not allowed to miss more than three classes. He frequently assigned long papers with essentially no guidelines. I would never recommend this class to anyone.

Epitome of a tenured professor. Lectures consist of hard to understand stream of consciousness. Topics in his History 101 class range from how global warming is a plot by Al Gore, random stories from his vacations overseas, and constant criticisms of religion. He does not take well to questions in class and often belittles students.

Could not teach his way out of a paper bag. Rude, not helpful, mumbles, arrogant, technologically challenged, boring, requires attendance. Avoid at all costs. Drop his class now before it's too late!

Comment:
Professor Kebrick is pretentious in every sense of the word. He thinks very highly of himself. Talks down to his students, the university, and especially religion. Most of his lectures center around his vacation slides. His attempts at humor are abysmal, but he thinks he's hilarious. On the positive side, he knows his history and grades on a curve.

Comment:
Professor Kebric is very intelligent, but when it comes to teaching he lacks all aspects of what it means to be a teacher. He expects students to grasp the entire concept the first time it is discussed as well as refusing to answer questions if you are unsure about what he wants. He also talks poorly of the University, dean, as well as religion.

He doesnt give us specific notes to write. he brings in pictures and projects them onto the screen and then talks about them and then rants on to stuff that he thinks is funny, but its not. He is so monotoned he puts people to sleep every class.

He tells you what to expect up front. He even spoon-feeds you what you need to know. He does tell about his personal trips quite often, but they it is always related to the course. He's a good dude. A little dry to speak with personally, but his classes are great.

Comment:
His Alexander the Great course is really interesting, and Dr. Kebric knows a lot. As noted in other reviews, he's unapproachable and creates animosity. He grades all papers on length primarily, so a "minimum page length earns a minimum grade". for our final 10 page minimum, someone wrote 21+ and it hurt everyone else. Also, he shows lots of movies
