Dr. Wang's accent is not a problem for you to engage in her lecture, and sometimes she is funny as hell. Sometimes she might say something like "all Asians have small eyes", "all workers in Google are nerds", and "all..." etc, but she doesn't really mean that. She is pretty kind and friendly, and she doesn't like giving students quizzes or tests.

She is super sweet and funny. Hated her the first class loved her by the third class. She has a heavy accent but is actually really funny. Participate and she will love you. She has favorites and she is more lenient with them. DON'T HAVE TO READ! Weakly home work, 4 tests, 1 presentation, 3 essays (all kinda easy-medium in difficulty)

Once a week HW assignments that are only a paragraph long. You don't have to read any of the texts as long as you pay attention to her lectures and take notes. Most of her tests are open booknote. Tests are easy A's. She's very funny and loves to relate ancient philosophy to modern times. Loves to get to know her students.

I had 0 interest in taking Chinese philosophy and she made it fun. She's a sweet lady and is really understanding if you have to miss class. She's hilarious and makes Philosophy so much more interesting.

She's honestly the cutest professor and is such a sweetheart! It was a really interesting class and it was nice that we didn't learn out of textbooks, but straight out of the texts. Made me appreciate Eastern philosophy so much more than I ever expected. Tests aren't impossible, but you definitely have to study (gives study guides if you ask).

Do you hate Western Philosphy? Then take her! She does half the class on Western Phil which is borning and hard 3 quizes and half a class sections on Eastern Phi. Professor Wang is hilariously funny. Examples about running and sex. Lectures are interesting and get the whole class talking. You also get to watch some video clips. Assignments are quizzes, 2 short papers, and a group debate. She has an accent but shes still understandable.

Dr Wang is a fabulous human being. She is amazingly intelligent and insightful and also very easygoing and helpful. There were a couple of papers and a very comprehensive midterm for the class, but having been attending class regularly it seemed impossible to miss out on the information and do poorly.

Yes she has an accent, but nevertheless she's funny as hell when a discussion gets going. It's not that she's trying to be funny, she just is! Her papers and tests are alright, nothing too heavy. Just take it for the debates. IT'S FUN AND WORTH IT!

Her accent makes her a bit difficult to understand, but once you get used to it, it's all good. Her class is fairly easy if you do the reading. If you don't, you're going to screw yourself because it's not THAT easy. She's funny and down to earth. You should enjoy it and do ok with a modest effort.

Comment:

Hard to understand, class work not tough but difficult to follow with language skills. Nice and fun, but for a college professor seems tests and quizes should be several steps up, my associate students and I were left scratching our heads - how'd she get to college level with such language skills?
