The worst professor I have ever had. He likes to degrade people for not doing well in his class by calling them children, or not real college students, but doesn't provide help when asked. He has made me and two other students that were in my class cry. Please avoid taking his classes as much as possible.

His classes are decidedly linear with everything building on previous lessons. The homework is extensive, but always relevant. He's very helpful if you stop by his office and ask for help with something you don't understand. Gets cranky when people talk in his class or don't show up.

This is the worst class I have taken. I'm in this 8am Calc2 class because it is the only one offered. He is not helpful at all. When you have questions, he makes you sound dumb in front of the class. When you make a mistake, he really gets angry. It's tough to ask for help when you know hes going to get angry and yell at you. He should not teach!

My advice, avoid at all costs. If you enjoy not receiving help in anything and being told to look in your notes, then this is the professor for you. If you don't understand the material instantly, then he will talk down to you and point you out in the middle of class. Worst professor on this campus period.

He just writes nonstop on the board, with little explanation. He is very smart, bad at teaching though. He is also very very hard to get help from. He will most likely just tell you to "read your notes." I've been stuck with him for Calculus 1 and 2 now and it is a miserable experience. It's like he expects you to understand the material right away

I had him for calculus 1 and calculus 2 . He just writes on the board nonstop with little explanation. He makes math MUCH harder than it needs to be. GOOD LUCK ASK ING HIM FOR HELP!"Look at your notes." I have suprisingly got good grades in class, but extremely challenging. Hard when you have no one to get help from. He can also be very rude

I took his Trig class and I had a really hard time. He talks to the board more then the students, and he is of little help when it comes to homework questions. "look at your notes" is the number one response when asking for an explanation. So I took a trig class online, taught myself, and passed. I do not know why he still teaches here. Stay away!

He is the absolute worst when it comes to helping you. He will tell you to look at your notes. And The only way he will help you during office hours is if you just show up. He talks to the board not the students. And he expects you to know everything already. And he can get away with snarky comments b/c he's the assistant dean.

He's a math genius, but less than utterly useless at conveying that knowledge to others. When asking for help, simply stating "Look at your notes" is a useless answer. His lectures are nearly pulled directly from the book with minimal explanation. You had better know it before going to class or you'll be doing his job and teaching yourself.

I'm taking the Math 110 summer course. This professor doesn't teach the material, he instead regurgitates it in commentaries with little use for the book. When asking for assistance you will be directed back to the commentaries. My understanding was that I was there to learn vs. being handed information that I was expected to know in advance.Beware

Brilliant but talks to board more than class. Spends a great deal of time bringing up theory after theory with little application. Very difficult to learn in his class; seems like he already expects you to know the material. By in large has a very difficult time connecting with students and conveying information.

Took the class for 2 weeks. Worked for 2.5 hours on the first homework assignment and when I asked for help he basically told me to go back over the handouts again. When I told him I had looked over them countless times, I was basically told that I was dumb.

Took this class online, but had to drop after only four weeks. Lectures were impossible to understand, even for my hubby with a masters degree in math. Textbook rarely used. No aid was given when I asked for clarification on a concept - the reply I received was, in fact, rather demeaning. His co-teacher online, Ro Cahill, in comparison, was great!

Excruciatingly boring and will not help with homework. I went in to ask him a question about our homework and he basically told me I was an idiot. He goes too fast and does not explain things. Some would say he is organized, but others would say he is anal.

He writs small and talks quiet, but if the class is willing to participate and put forth some effort he is not a bad teacher. If you are lost, ask for help. After all the horror stories I heard, I was expecting him to be really bad but he is a nice guy.
