Quite possibly the best teacher at WVU-P. His class is very enjoyable and his lectures leave little room for doubt. His tests are predictable and very easy -- if you attended class and took notes. Very, very amazing professor!!

Can quote scripture one moment and cuss like a sailor the next. This man is a riot, and an excellent professor. I took a 4 week summer class, and even though I sat in his class for three hours four days a week, I was never bored. He tries to scare freshmen, but you will learn to love him. Take good notes and you will be fine!

One of the best professors I have ever taken at the college. Takes one of the more boring subjects in history and keeps it interesting. There is no text book, so you have to take good notes in order to pass. Is also foul mouthed, but it makes the class more enjoyable. If you are easily offended or a Christian, this class may not be for you.

Atkinson is the man. Hilarious, and his views were right on par with mine. However, he does listen to opposing viewpoints. I would recommend him to any and everybody. He will not force his views down your throat... just laugh at them. Mwahaha!

Atkinson was, by far, the best professor I have had in college! I actually had him for HIST 101 & 102 and POLS 102! His crazy technique of explaining events of the past made having to wake up at 8:00 for his class totally worth it!

Apparently this guy has changed alot since I had him in the Fall of 98. I graduated 4th in my class and always had good grades (even now) and I ended up with a D in his class. He was hard to follow and made it seem like his views were the only ones.

Atkinson is definetly the best professor I've encountered. If you go to class, take good notes, and study for the tests and "pop" quizzes his classes are easy. Atkinson is hilarious and you will learn a lot!

I took all four of the courses he taught while I was a student at WVUP. He is my favorite professor by far.. if you can take notes there is no reason not to get an A.
