As someone with a lot of post-secondary education, I can recognize a good professor when I come across one. Rory is an excellent lecturer, bringing the facts to life by providing context and fun details about the course material that you wouldn't find in the books. Accessible, respectful, listens and answers questions with consideration. Recommend!

He's passionate about his lectures, but it took a few classes to realize what we were talking about and connect the lectures to the readings.I found him to be very nice plus he was able to create a friendly environment in the classroom.He's one of those rare ECU professors that gives off the vibe that they actually care about you and your education

Doesn't really come across as smart - he's always rambling and searching for words. I found his marking inconsistent and sometimes unfair (my grades in his class ranged from A+ to B-). Tries to initiate class discussions but is not very good at it. On the plus side, he's very friendly and presents interesting topics.

He's a very good prof. gets you fairly interested in the topics tghat are presented. The wide variety of subjects that we explored used various teaching aids such as videos and images and then some. A good amount of disscussion took place in class that were inquisitive. I definately think he enhanced the teaching environment.
