Comment:

A really easy art class to take but she makes it pretty horrible. The assignments aren't that bad, but she doesn't communicate with students at all. Have the assignments have the same due dates written as last semester/years classes so you never know when stuff is due. She doesn't respond to emails AT ALL. The class is easy A, but she sucks.

If you have the chance to take Seeing and Knowing the Visual arts with her to fill you fine arts credit, DO IT! She is an awesome professor who makes you view art in a new light. The only assignments are short weekly discussion post (very easy), a midterm paper, and a final paper that is just your midterm plus 2 pages.

My class with Dr. Basile was just too long and boring. I t was hard to pay attention, but attendance is required so no skipping! All the tests, including final, were online and fairly easy. She offered a lot of extra credit. Was overall a very nice lady though! Hard to get a hold of outside of class though.

The course load is very minimal, but attendance is required, and you get quizzes every week. If you miss one or two, your grade is basically shot, and if you miss more than two classes, it really adds up. Also, good luck getting an email response from her, she never checks it. Overall, not a fun time.

She doesn't have the perks of a full-time professor job, but she still teaches one of the best courses at OU. She knows art and art history, and she will respect you if you put in the work and respect her. Very professional, and she's there for students who are really trying to succeed. Ignore the bad reviews.

This was the worst class I've taken at OU. She does not respond to emails and is not concerned with what grade you receive, she is quick to fail you on small mistakes. She is lazy and doesn't care about her students.

She does not respond to emails! Awful awful lectures on things youve already read! You basically teach yourself and then she reguritates it. She cancels classlets out early alot and the work is minimal but holy heck she is awful.

She isn't organized and lacks the ability to keep a thought process in the class. She often jumps from one topic to another. The grades are not very consistent, sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong. You will probably never get feedback and don't even think about attempting to email her! She has yet to respond to even one of my emails.

She was pretty laid back. Did lots of "bonus rounds" where she gave tons of extra points/time/hints whatever. We used an online book and assignments. Pretty simple but time consuming. No in-class exams, only online quizzes at the end of each chapter with unlimited tries. Fairly tough grader. Super easy A though.

I took her Art History online and she is terrible at emailing back. I still have yet to get an email back from her from weeks ago. Doesn't give you grades on time and how she grades is terrible! My midterm paper she explained that I did 2 things wrong but I got a D+ on the paper. I am a B student...why am I getting a D+? DON"T TAKE HER!

The class isn't too hard it's pretty much based on applying vocab words to paintings. If you go to class you should have no problem getting a good grade. She offers points for going to all of the classes and she usually lets you out early too. Two short papers are required but aren't too complex.

An ok teacher at best. Knowledgeable in useless things. Ridiculous attendance policy, boring lectures. She made a mistake in calculating my grade and wouldn't fix it, she just kept making up different excuses on why i received the grade.

one of the most boring classes i've ever taken. if you want to sit through 2 hours of her lecturing about pointless "works of art" (a.k.a anything that has to do with minority art) then this is the class for you. textbook is $100+ and you only use it for tests. this class sucked.
