I actually thought this class and Cassidy were very dry. Lecture powerpoints are online, but are unclear, even in class (when I barely attended). All you have to do is write 1 paper, show up for a debate, and take 3 tests. Note: He takes the average of your individual and group grades on the same test - which makes them all As.

One of the best professors at DU. If you have the opportunity to take his class, DO IT. You learn a lot, but there's almost no reading or homework. One paper, one debate, and three tests - that's it. He knows a lot about law and is very passionate.

I just took him for the fall quarter and loved it. You don't have to go to class or even pay attention, just look at his slide shows on blackboard and he'll tell you what you need to know for the tests, not to mention half of your grade for the exam is completed through a team effort! Sit with intelligent looking ppl on the first day of class

Professor Cassidy is an extremely nice guy. He is very smart and experienced with law. His class can be boring at times because of the content but he is a great guy and I learned a lot. His tests are a little difficult but he helps by making a group section on tests.

Amazing real world experience. He stories fit perfectly with the course material and are never ending. Not interesting material, but he was a great teacher for the subject. Testing was fair, a little difficult but he would give free points frequently.

Sam Cassidy is truly a class act! One of the best classes I have ever taken! You can't question his credentials or his interest in EDUCATING as opposed to just going through the motions! The class was fun and insightful! Our personal politics differ, but I would have to be an idiot not to respect the man's opinion. He has done it all!

He has real world experience so has lots of funny stories to tell. Understands that students can sometimes get bored learning about law so he makes it interesting. Very fair testing, if majority of class gets the same question wrong, he will give you the point for free.
