Amazing professor and mentor. Kind but serious about the sacred vocation that is teaching. She realized the vital role teachers play in our communities and, through her example, helped me see the passion that is needed to be an effective teacher. I am so indebted to her. I have a BA-English and MAT from MSU. I had this professor 3x and she was honestly the worst teacher I ever had. She doesn't teach anything about educating students in the real world. The nastiest, rudest, self-centered, closed-minded professor-and if you want to learn about education (not race and gender issues)- wrong professor for you!

Loved her in pursuits of English. Helped a lot, although a little too liberal for my taste. Methods on the other hand...what a two-faced female dog. She told me not to become a teacher and become an editor. I've been teaching 5 years and won an award. It goes to show how little she really knows.
