I have nothing but amazing things to say about this woman. She is the reason I finally decided to declare psychology as my major. She is kind, understanding, and above all, an absolutely amazing teacher. She is always available to her students and is a motherly figure to those who get to know her. Take a class with her! Do it!

Comment:

Prof. Murnen is the best! I've taken 150 and 200 with her. She explains concepts clearly and will change the course syllabus if the class is moving slower than normal. She really cares about whether or not you learn and understand the material. She's also very caring and understanding about personal issues.

prof. murnen is a great teacher and an extremely down-to-earth person. she is very clear about the assignments and is very helpful if you ever have problems. she's an easy grader and wants you to succeed. excellent teacher and good person.

I really like Professor Murnen. She is very straightforward and logical- always willing to help. Sometimes class can be a bit boring (keep in mind that I was in an intro to Research Methods class) but she is so nice! Do not miss out on taking a class with her.

Good professor. Very discussion based. Very feminist. Best reading material of any psych class. Only criticism that I have is that she seems partial to feminism and talks about it as if it is more important than other inequalities (such a race, class, etc.) sometimes. But otherwise interesting class.

The psych department is crumbling day by day due to this women' being callow and inadequate. She plays favorites, and will screw over anyone to make sure her favorites get what they want. This prof is the epitome of the word "perfidious" . TAKE HEED AND AVOUD LIKE THE PLAGUE.

she's pretty much amazing! she helps you when you need help, she will make subject matter interesting, and she is super nice. had some of the best discussions in her class. one of the easiest people to approach. i would recommend taking any class with her.

I think she's gotten cranky lately. She seems condescending and cold. She used to be so warm and helpful, now she just makes me feel worse than I did before I tried to get her to clarify something. I wish she would smile occasionally. And her feminism is great and I agree with it but it's not the only answer to all problems in psych.

Sarah Murnen is the kindest, most brilliant, and amazing professor this campus has to offer. I wish she would adopt me. No, strike that, I want to BE her when I grow up. With all of her impressive publications, you'd never know it, because she is so modest. And best of all, she really LISTENS to students and cares deeply about what they think.

not very difficult. very lenient to students who go talk to her. ppl would go cry to her & she excused absenses, late work, etc. which is annoying to those of us who do work on time! aside from which, ppl make up excuses to cry about for leniency...); not a challenging prof- but methods can be a challenge as a subject

Gives great input, very smart, professional, but don't be intimidated, she's really kind too.
