Literally the best professor I've ever had. Incredibly personable, if a bit standoffish at first. Incredibly passionate about what he teaches, and takes the time to know the students and adapt the course to their desires and capabilities. Can be a difficult grader, but not in an impossible way- just don't slack and do the readings!

he has his flaws can come across as condescending sometimes, and super nit-picky, and his tests are impossible, but he's always willing to work with his students. Overall he cares about the material. Very encouraging and willing to give extra help if you need it. Do well on the tests because three of them will determine your whole grade

I took Western Classics as my first year writing intensive, and I am so glad I did because Prof. Bradbury really helped take my writing to the next level. At first I was frustrated because he kept saying I was summarizing instead of analyzing, but when I really tried to apply his advice, my essays improved tenfold. Great prof and class.

Very good lecturer. A lot of memorization was required for quizzes. He gives very effective prompts for papers and exam essays. The class was illuminating, and he seemed very respectful of the deities.

Difficult course, but entirely worth it to experience Bradbury's lectures. This man is brilliant, but don't expect an easy ride! Lots of memorization will be required.

The hardest class I've taken at Smith. Bradbury is really enthusiastic, but his tests are impossible, even for classics majors, and are really nit-picky. He's sweet, but sometimes tells off-color jokes. Don't take this if you want to discuss women's issues - it's ONLY classics, and really intense.

Professor Bradbury is an incredibly adorable man. You can tell he's really into the material he teaches. I liked how he integrated classical texts with modern poems and artwork from various periods. Plus the cheezy movie clips he showed were hilarious.

Amazing professor! He deeply cares about his students and is always reasonable. I greatly admire his ability to productively lead class discussion while still being flexible enough to let his students get silly or off-topic relativelt frequently. His class was a bonding experience and an education!

this guy is REALLY into mythology, so if you are interested in the subject you'll love the class. he really tries to make it interesting. if you go to the classes you don't need to do the reading and the finals aren't half as bad as he makes them out to be

i swear this guy writes out his lectures beforehand and reads them word for word in class. class is boring, though the reading is fairly interesting. i wouldn't say arrogant exactly, maybe haughty is a better word.

Hysterical man if you can put up with his arrogance. One good joke and you'll put him in his place. Good with advanced classes, bad with beginning.
