Great class. Recommend it. Projects are time consuming but I hear they change each year.

If I had the slightest interest in anything computer or tech related I'm sure she would be a good teacher. However, if not, be prepared to be bored to death during the 3 hour night class. She is nice enough, but my group suffered quite a bit at her hand. We put lots of time and energy into our projects and got nothing in return.

I have a fear of tests. I went in to talk to her and she was very kind and understanding. She gave me some tips that worked. I will always remember her for this!

In-depth syllabus is given upfront. Instruction isnt a vague or boiler-plate. Doesn't use book power-points. Grants freedom to take tests on own schedule.

I too like Dr. Brahnam. The course is easy to pass but you have to do a lot of work. I can't imagine anyone failing it. But you have to work. Lectures are sometimes really amazing. Not the stuff about computer history. Ugh. But the other lectures are very interesting! Would take her again any day :)

I like dr Brahnam. She's funny and the class was really interesting. This was my favorite class last semester. Everything is spelled out in syllabus but quiz totals can change (says so in syllabus) can go up or down. Ours went up 5 points. Recommend this professor for this class!

Online class with very little contact with professor. There is a weekly quiz with roughly 3 discussion posts. Criteria for discussion posts is vague but I found if you posted 3 times with references, I would get all of the points. The practice quizzes are verbatim for the weekly quiz so take practice quiz about 10 times and you should be fine.

Assigns 10 tests on blackboard but has no intention of teaching the material so you have to use the book/quizlet to teach yourself. Material covered in class is only tested over twice through short quizzes that only ask obscure questions over too much material to rake through. Very unorganized and vague when assigning the 3 group projects.

Least professional Doctorate holder I have ever had the misfortune of taking. Interrupted student presentations to tell them they were wrong as they were quoting the owners of the company they researched. Vague project expectations, no rubric. Blackboard is a mess of information from previous semesters. CIS professor who can't turn on a projector.

10th wonder of the world: How she is still employed at a University with high accreditation. Class is easy, just take practice tests a few times before quizzes. She constantly changes her mind and if you do so happen to take in a lecture, God help you. For MBA students, your intelligence will be insulted.

Raving Feminist, but an easy A if you memorize the blackboard pretest questions as they are exactly the same as the actual test. Extra credit was available, but not necessary. If you can stand her feminist ranting for an entire semester and can memorize questions there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't get an A. Also there are 2 presentations.

I have had about 210 college credit hours, including a previous master's degree. Dr. Brahnam is quite possibly the worst instructor I have encountered. During the entire semester, there were 3 evenings where she "taught" material, and otherwise all time was spent on group work. She is unhelpful and obstinate when crossed. A very unpleasant class.

By far she is the worst professor I have had at Missouri State University. She is extremely unclear on her expectations, changes her mind constantly, and makes it nearly impossible to get an acceptable grade.

If you are taking online class - be prepared - it is HARD!!! she requires 2 tests and 3 posts per week. Very overwhelming. she doesnt really help as well, very short and unclear responses to questions!!!

This is for the online class. I was worried, but I ended up with 494 out of 500 points. Just do all the assigned work and put at least some effort into your posts and you will be ok.

You better be clairvoyant if you take this class! She makes the curriculum up as she goes and then forgets what she has decided. There were new technologies displayed in our class, however getting help understanding and using such technology from proff. Was impossible. She would take time to talk about how great she is and what she is researching.
