Comment:

He was put on Earth to confuse the masses. Had him for anatomy, and he was good with being on topic and precise, but Language Science was one of the most excruciating experiences of my life. His lectures are full of tangents. The exams are worse than Buckley's exams. He is a nice man, but the program should reevaluate his teaching of this course.

Lang. science was frustrating. Even with the textbook, this course doesn't make a much sense. He records the lectures, which I needed to review regularly. If you are brave enough to ask questions, don't expect clear answers. His replies are unspecific and leave you more confused than you were before you asked. Thank god for extra credit.

Dr. Frisch is awesome. I had him for Anatomy over summer C and Lang Sci in the Spring. His tests can be a little tricky but if you put the time in for each exam (10-15 hours) there's no reason to not get the grade you expect. Read over questions thoroughly. He is also helpful during office hours.

Challenging course and pretty much a weed out class for the graduate program. Will need to put in 15+ hours of INTENSE studying per exam. Two weeks for final. Learned a lot, although it was a lot of information being thrown at once. Earned an A but worked hard for it! Professor can be humorous, quirky, and super helpful during office hours :)

his jokes are very DRY he reads off the slides but he does give clicker points so that is a plus he gives you very little guidance for the exams. if you go to his office his gives alot more help than he does in class. A LOT of studying is required for his exams especially the pictures!

Very intelligent -- humor not for all. Remorseful trickster (GREish) bcs this is a weeding out class for SLP masters prog admission. Could craft the material in a more profound manner and include extra personally done and outside material to enlighten topics. Will answer career questions insightfully. Harder to get to know but maybe possible.

Dr. Frisch is a very good but challenging instructor.Had him for A&P Speech/Hearing mechanisms.Take this class seriously!It will require alot of studying, but he provides you with the tools you need to succeed,along w/ practice tests and quizes for additional study.He's an excellent instructor for those who want to learn.I got an A but worked forit

I studied my ass off but if you know a general amount of information you will be able to eliminate two of the choices off of the tests. I thought his tests were very straight forward. Half of it is just identifying images. You can do the quizzes an unlimited amount of time so there is no excuse. hes funny, strange and super available to help.

Okay so there is no way around it YOU HAVE TO STUDY tests are tricky tricky had him for speech/hear/mech A&P ... he s a good teacher in the sense that he teaches... he is nicer than he comes across, but his tests will make u want to pull your hair out! lol but it is do-able. Great teacher although he takes some getting used to. Had him for Anat. and Linguistics. Lectures and notes are clear but tests are tough/tricky so study hard and know the material well! Show up to class! Friendlier and more helpful than he lets on to students so don't hesitate to ask questions. I enjoyed his classes and I'd take him again.

great teacher! attend his lectures. the test is based from his lectures, and the figures are from the book. if u attend class and read a fair amount you will pass. it's an anatomy class.. so you can't depend on the teacher to remember the stuff. but he's a good prof.

Best teacher I have had in the undergrad program so far at USF!! If you do bad on one of his tests if is no one's fault but your own. That is not to say they are easy, but he goes over everything in class that will be on the test. Would take a class taught by him again in a heart beat.

Dr. F is AWESOME! Loved his class. He is a sneaky professor for tests, but if you know the material you will do fine. Lots of extra credit! Do the HW and go to the labs, the points add up! Strange sense of humor, but it works and makes lectures enjoyable. Would definitely take him again!!!!

He's not bad, it's just that the material itself is hard. There are so many rules, & let's face it, if you don't have an ear for phonetics, you're in for a struggle. But don't give up on the class. Test are tricky!Just know your stuff. DO EVERY SINGLE HOMEWORK & GO TO EVERY SINGLE LAB, the extra credit adds up at the end!
