Doc never seises to amaze me! I've taken 3 classes with him now and I know that I still have so much to learn! He's so easy to get along with, very understanding and eager to help. It's clear that he wants his students to learn! No one should hesitate to take a class with him or talk to him if there's any concern with anything! He's a great teacher

Haven't stopped learning amazing things from this man since the first day I met him. He is a catalyst to the people around him, and the fact that he expects you to live up to your potential- in a way that makes you happy!- leaves you feeling unstoppable. He's a walking encyclopedia of his various skill sets, and is, above all, an excellent teacher.

I got to know doc very well this year being his Ta. He does have a quick temper and could honestly make me cry. He would frustrate me and make me so angry sometimes that he can be bipolar I wouldn't want to come back. but If It wasn't for this man I wouldn't be going to grad school to teach. he gave me pep talks that I needed! I look up to him!

I had Dr. MacKenzie over 20 years ago and I believe that his manor of teaching, fairness, sence of humor and knowledge of Equine Behavior helped me become a better teacher myself. His insight on behavior helps me understand why some of my Middle School students act the way they do. I teach math now, but horses will always be dear to me. Thanks Doc

Extremely helpful and if you are willing to put in the time, he will do everything he can to help you along. Genetics was the worse class I have ever taken in over 100 credits of course work!!!! Lectures are boring, uniformative. You would be better off and learn more valuable information for the genetic field in a statistics class!

Took several of his classes, wouldnt trade them for the world! has lots of advice for the rest of your life and tons of good stories, thats what he should do when he gets tired of teaching if he ever will...write some books! of course if he can master the computer though! Doc probably was the best professor I ever had in college.
