Easiest teacher I've ever taken! Really nice and helpful.. If you take the time to get to know him, he'll take the time to do whatever he can to help you out. My favorite teacher. Kinda boring, but all history is. Easy A! I'm taking him again for 202. :)

This class was amazing. Dr. Cox really knows his stuff. I would refer him to anyone. Just pay attention. I have never learned so much about history as I did in this class.He is a really cool and easy going professor. And no homework which of course is a plus.Test are easy.And he has jokes.

If you can sit through his lecture, his class is so worth being in. He loves history and helps his students by fully preparing them for their quizzes and exams... he tells exactly what to study. Awesome prof... taking his 202 in spring.

I read about him on ratemyprofessor.com before taking his class, thinking it was going to be easy. It is really not. He is hard to understand because he rambles off topic all of the time and does it often. I have never met a more mono-tone person in my life. He gives some answers, but it is still kind of hard.

Cox is a great teacher but you have to study the notes he gives you. He is always willing to help all you have to do is ask at any time. Will give you answers before/during a test. Loves teaching, very nice, takes attendance so you have to come to class but accepts ALL excuses. Had him twice, B(201), A(202). Downfall: monotone and lame jokes

He is SOOOO BORING! All he talks about is Indians and his "rock and roll" days. It's awful. But..if all you care about is an easy grade, go for it! All you have to so is study a bunch of notes you print off the internet and you can pretty much sleep the whole time. It's the easiest class I've ever had. But it's almost not worth is sometimes lol

Very interesting and smart professor. One of the best professors UTM has to offer. Has great knowledge of the real history of North America. Yes loves to talk about Indians but what better subject in a history class is there? Great knowledge of TN and its history too. Would recommend Brent to anyone who wants to know the true history of US.

Awessome teacher. If u can have him, ur one lucky person. He lets u go sometime early out of class like about 15 minutes, and also after taking the quizzes which takes about 5 minutes. No assignment nor reading. Always curves the quizzes and test up to 6 to 10 points. Seriously take him! Its an easy A or B.
