If you are really dedicated and you show up to class and participate, you will pass. If you ask stupid questions, he won't answer you. He has his good days and bad days. COMM109 with him is hard but I promise he's awesome after that. If you're into the radio business, this is your guide to become successful!

Don't miss a class. You'll fall behind and not understand anything that is going on. Pay attention, if you ask stupid questions he won't answer you. Be sure to come in outside of class, you'll need the practice. Make sure you think outside the box with projects, you'll get an F if you do something average.

Amazing teacher for TV and Radio. Extremely helpful, gives helpful advice for during practices performances that help during the actual performance. Great class, I would highly recommend it!

Took Shehan for Public Speaking. It doesn't matter if you're a good speaker or not because he doesn't grade on presentation. You give him a handwritten copy of your speech before you present and he grades based off of that. You also can read your speech when presenting and dont have to worry about eye contact. Fairly easy class overall & hes funny

Not easy on grading. Can offer interesting topics, depending on your preference. Kind of laid back in class. Not so much out of class. Very interested in his field, just ask him. Very clear & specific on what he wants out of his student's work. Moderately organized overall, not so much on a day to day basis. Don't even try to pass jokes off at him in class, unless you want an enemy. Very moody. Do NOT tick this man off. He can be charmed, but he'll know you're trying to play ball.

Comment:

Dr. Shehan is really funny and tells a lot of jokes that go over most everyone's heads. In this class especially, he tells you exactly what you need to know and is really laidback. Some say he's moody, but what do you expect from someone with a disability? I like his attitude actually! It's dry, sarcastic, and speaks from life - frankly, he's real.

Class usually consisted of him telling stories totally not related to subject. I found him to be very rude, plays favorites and not a good teacher. He was extremely unprofessional, and unwilling to help students (besides those who ran the radio station.
