he stutters (he had a stroke), he tries to make jokes and relate to the students but is unsuccessful, he gets annoyed when no one participates, no attendence policy, do not need to go to classes, notes are difficult to take, vague essay questions

never had him for class, but as an internship advisor he was really nice. He didn't care that I didn't turn my paper in till December when I did the internship over summer. He lets you turn in a draft first and he'll give you advice on it. My paper was definitely not spectacular but he gave me an A.

Professor Puro is very difficult to understand and not the best lecturer. However, his redeeming qualities make up for his qualms. He is always willing to help, and carried good in-class discussions (when people are willing to chime in).

Warning: this class is very difficult, and while I am certain that Dr. Puro is extremely knowledgable on the subject, he is not a good lecturer. His lectures are unorganized and somewhat difficult to understand. Nice guy though, and I strongly recommend talking to him, but not taking his class....

Comment:
Horrible class. The midterm and final each count for 50% of the grade, each have 2 essay questions (choose 2 of 4 given) not a good class if you're bad at essay tests b/c entire grade is the 4 essays. His grading is unfair, questions could have many answers but only HIS interpretation is correct.

great prof, study well in advance for tests and read everything-they are very difficult, try to focus on his 3 or 4 big concepts, if you have questions GO SEE HIM, he loves to talk to students, and it will score you brownie points; loved the class and Dr.P!

Nice guy but has a very bad stutter. It's annoying at first, but then you become accustomed to it. His lectures seem to be more about the broader picture of things rather than details. He doesn't have an attendence policy.
