Really nice and helpful woman! She is laid back and tries to make the class interesting and comfortable for the students. She instigates interesting discussions and the essays we read for homework corresponded to our writing assignments, most of the time, and she always goes over the readings. She gives out helpful comments on your essays.

For a discussion based class, there isn't much discussing. Nice lady, but not the best professor. She more lectures at us and rarely asks for our opinions. If she does ask questions, they're more just questions straight from the text, with correct answers. If you don't agree with her opinions, she thinks that you're wrong!

She is probably one of the most eloquent, informed, and inspiring teacher at Hofstra. Don't take her if you can't write well because she has very high standards. She is not only a great professor, but mentor as well. You can speak to her about anything. Passionate, enthusiastic; you cannot go wrong with this woman

She is so arrogant and obnoxious if you don't agree exactly with her, you're incorrect. She's not open to other opinions just what she wants. I felt my class was all of her minions, people just kissing up to her ego. She allows you to redo papers, like I had to redo mine, and I was in her office twice a week to get help so i wouldn't fail.

She is a beast! She is incapable of having a meaningful class discussion. She has a huge ego, and thinks that her reading of a literary work is the only correct one, and if you disagree with her, you are in trouble. She didn't even care enough to stay awake through other C&E lectures! She is an absolute joke, and an abomination to HU!

an interesting professor. tough grader. picks some great works to study in class... most of the time. look for a pervading sense of feminism to overshadow lectures, and often get in the way of intelligent discussion. this feminism will affect afew of the works you study, so prepare yourself to go from literary classics to lesser feminist novels.

Excellent teacher. Very Helpful in and out of class. She is very critical but only because she know you can do better. Very personable and if she likes you she will help you out with anything. I'm taking her again for an Honors class. (She makes great jewelery too!)

She actually wanted me to dumb down the high level language in my reports and criticized one of my viewpoints. The next day when I was late and outside the classroom I heard her use that very same insight. I dropped the class because I felt she was an insult to higher education.

well i have had her quite a few times now i simply lover her why of teaching. She is very sweet and at the same time fair. In order for you to pass her class,you must read...for those who hate her for that..all i have to say to them is welcome to College!
