Best prof I've ever had. Not an English major? Take her class. English major? Take her class. She sees right past your bullcrap in your essays but she'll make you a better writer. My eyes would never check the clock in her class because I was actually enjoying myself. Seriously. She's amazing.

Dr. Trout will change your life no matter what your major. If you don't like her, you're doing something wrong. She teaches her students how to think about HUGE aspects of life that other teachers are afraid to discuss and she cares what they think. This woman is superwoman, y'all. Take her class ASAP and get ready to learn. You'll love it.

Take her! Just do it! Third year writing sucks but she makes everything so clear and simple. Her feedback is so detailed and to top it all off she's REALLY funny. She wants everyone to succeed and is available to help outside of class. Super interesting class and I'm a better writer because of Professor Trout.

Dr. Trout is not a professor I would recommend. I had her for ENG3010 and I honestly found her to be absolutely horrendous. She constantly critiqued my writing style and treated it as if I wrote on a uneducated level. When actually, I am quite gifted with English. She is also horrible about responding to emails. I would definitely not recommend.

Dr. Trout is by far my favorite English professor. I have taken multiple of her classes and I'm never disappointed. She is hilarious which makes class fun! She does assign a lot of work, but if you draft and keep up, she is flexible with due dates and gives very constructive feedback.

I took her JCS Foodways class. There is one semester-long assignment that requires a lot of fieldwork, so if that sounds awful to you, run away. Good news, she's hilarious and easy, and I actually walked away with more professional and real-life skills than any of my business classes so far. Highly recommend this class if you have a light semester.

My most memorable professor so far at the school. Professor Trout is hilarious and any class of hers is worth taking. There aren't too many assignments and with all the rough drafts you do and feedback she gives you there is no excuse for getting anything less than an A unless you're just lazy. By far one of my favorite teachers.

You have to take one class from Trout before you graduate. She is a brilliant woman and knows everything about everything literature-related, yet conveys it with clarity, ease, and humor, all of which combine to make any class you take with her a joy. She is definitely not easy, and a lot of reading and writing are required, but it is not an issue.

Professor Trout is hilarious! Her sense of humor makes the class so much more interesting. She does gives out a few papers and you are required to do a rough draft and final draft for them, but all the work assigned is relevant. She is a very helpful teacher! I would definitely recommend her class.

Trout is an awesome teacher. The reading load it a lot, but she keeps class interesting. Make sure you speak up in discussions; the participation grade is what brought my grade down from an A to a B. If you need help, ask her; she is very helpful. She's also very understanding. Phenomenal teacher. Take her. It's work, but it will be work it.
