I was accidentally placed into this class. Because I am a freshman, the OGLs told me to take this class because I took Spanish for 4 years. The test told me otherwise. I was not ready for this class. After I took this class...I received an A, I skipped the 2 years I had to take this class, I got into the Honors College! REALLY EASY CLASS!!!

I would recommend Arellano. She was fun and made the class easy. Some of the tests are group tests and some are take home, I think we only had one exam by ourself in class. Great prof!

After taking a year off from Spanish, I was kind of nervous to come back into it. Profesora Arellano was a great professor. She understands how it feels to learn the language, since she is not a native speaker. I would definitely recommend her. She will not call you out, but she appreciates participation. And she'll never embarrass you if you try!

She's really cool. Everything is so much easier when she explains it. I used to be confused about ser and estar, but she made it pretty darn clear. She gives extra credit and curves. Additionally, she tells cool stories and made everybody laugh. Take her class if you can.

I absolutely love this teacher!! I wish I could take every Spanish class with her. She is extremely helpful, explains things so you can actually understand, and really cares about her students. She'll do everything she can to make sure you can a good grade. She's definitely one of my favorite teachers ever!

really good teacher. she's comical and she's a very understanding teacher. she does everything she can to help the students' grades: take home/group test/quizzes, curves on the final, dropped lowest test score, extra credit all over -- she wants her students to be successful. you'll respect her a lot.. she's pretty down to earth and understanding.

She is very clear if you pay attention, sometimes she talks fast and you're like wait what? The only thing I would criticize her on is her lack of Spanish speaking, I know for those who aren't going into Spansih its helpful, but it puts us at a disadvantage not to hear the language the whole hour. So when she does speak it, we're all sort of lost.

i am a freshman who tested into 214 and i wasnt sure if id be able to handle it but arellano is the best prof. ever. we had two take home tests and her assignments are rare and easy,took away half of what she had planned for the semester and tons of extra credit. im getting a 4.0 and i could care less if she spoke a lot of english, i like my 4.0
