There aren't many professors that are as accessible outside of class like Dr. Spradling is. Her lectures can be a bit vague at times but studying the review questions give you a very clear understanding of her exams. The exams are mostly multiple choice with some short answer and diagrams. They are not difficult if you go through the review!

Great professor. If you have to take Genetics, take it with her. Tests are about 4 pages of multiple choice with a few short answers and maybe some diagrams. She gives lots of tools for success, like review questions that outline every day of class for each exam! Super nice and cares a lot about students. Very helpful.

Dr. Spradling is by FAR my favorite professor I've had yet. She is very thorough in her lectures & you can tell she is passionate about what she teaches. Attendance is not mandatory, but I highly recommend you show up to class or you will miss a lot of information. Do the study guide and there's no way you will fail!!

Dr. Spradling is probably the best teacher I've had at UNI yet. She is extremely helpful if you go talk to her during her office hours. She has very clear lectures and is super nice. Genetics has a lot of information to take in but if you do her review questions and study 2-3 days before the test then you will do just fine.

Not terribly easy but certainly not hard. She's easy to get along with and is very good at explaining material. There are homework assignments and a few extra credit assignments, so take advantage of them. Tests are a mix of mc, fill in the blank, and free response. They're a little tough but not hard. Very useful class, and labs are somewhat cool.

Great professors. If you attend class, study her study questions, and make a small effort, you'll do well. She wants you to do well. Is always willing to answer questions in and outside of class. A very sweet lady too. Lab and class activities help grade.

Be sure to attend her class to score well on her entirely note-based exams. Dr. Spradling is cheerful, energetic, and engaging. She's approchable and pretty helpful for questions. A good study regimen will help for the moderately tough exams. Lab points and easy assignments help to buffer the grade.

is a very interesting class. she is a very nice professor and knows what she's talking about. tests are easy, just study off the notes and will do good. you dont even need the textbook. labs are very easy too! i would definatly recommend taking genetics with her!!

Very, very nice person. She is extremely interested in how well her students are understanding the material. During lab, she walks around to each table to talk with students to get to know them better. She's so nice! Tests are pretty hard, but you learn so much. I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone.

Really interested in student learning. Really interesting class. Keeps up to date with rapidly advancing field. Always willing to answer questions, and won't make you feel stupid for asking a question during lecture. First test is a little tricky because she uses a slightly different test format.
