Took the C programming class with minimal previous programming experience. Book really isn't needed as the lecture notes cover most of what you need. Cheeky humor keeps things light, and he's very reachable. Very fair and solid educator. Wish he taught more of my classes.

Awesome class for first time students unfamiliar with programming languages to get an overview of what language would suit them best. DO NOT TAKE C PROGRAMMING FIRST, TAKE THIS CLASS!!! I was advised to. What a mistake. Book isn't needed. Read the lecture notes and reference the lecture notes and Google.

I really enjoyed his survey of programming languages class. Really good lecture notes filled with videos and cartoons that help reading them less monotonous. Knows the subject matter well and quick to respond to posts on the discussion board. I would recommend taking this if you are new to programming and want to get your feet wet.

Great professor - kept the class engaged all semester with informative lecture notes filled with jokes and puns that were so, so, soooooooooo bad they were good. Any professor who can incorporate Fight Club and The Big Lebowski into his lectures is ok with me.

Tim- what more can I say about him? He's awesome. I took his Survey of Programming Class online and loved it. His lectures are great, and spattered with home made animations, he's super helpful, assignments are really easy and clear. The guy is totally awesome, funny and loves what he does. I would highly suggest taking this class. Easy A.

This prof has very good lecture notes. I didn't use the book much. The assignments were average. At the end of the class he throws too many concepts at you at once. Overall good prof though.

Took the online C programming class. His videos and lecture notes were excellent - small bites of info and VERY easy to digest. Follow the notes and you'll do fine. Quizzes are easy, homework isn't sooo bad at first but gets much harder. He's always there to help. Loved the class.

His video and text lectures are great! He goes beyond just doing the minimum to cover the topic every week. I found the notes to be clear and the videos are helpful. He does a nice job at teaching C programming as well as programming concepts and standards. I recommend him.

This class was easyfun and prof provides far more information in each week than is necessary to complete the course. Homework assignments are a breeze the only thing he is a stickler about is code readabilityformatting which is an important practice to be in so that is a plus in an introductory course. Midterm was breeze but takes some time

Pros: Clear and easy way to an AA- unless you blow the course off. Fantastic job with video aids to show the way the data moves. Answers every question and does it quickly. Cons: Typos in notes don't hinder understanding but look sloppy. Some responses used only ellipses ("do it . . . like this . . .") for punctuation, and were unclear initially.

This was a great way to get to know a little bit about a lot of languages. he goes out of his way to make some videos and dig up some good resources. A lot of folks do the bare minimum with a single powerpoint a week. My only complaint is that the mid and finals are huge. Give yourself time( actually take vacation time from work) to do these.

Survey Of Programming Languages. I wouldn't call this an easy course but it will give you an understanding of many languages. If you have an interest in programming take this course early to help you find direction.

I would avoid his class if you don't have to take it. Professor is stuck on himself. He has added useless videos to his useless notes. There were typos on the mid-term. I would expect someone who is so particular on student's work to proof read his own. Avoid if possible.

Online Programming C online: I revived an A in the class. His notes are useless, answers to questions are useless. He does not attend chat. Midterm is hard, homework after midterm is harder. Final is easy. Put in the effort, implement his suggestions when you get HW back, ahead to his HW standards. Use flow chart to help yourself lean Prog logic.

AVOID! Online class (C Programming 90.267). Lecture notes are confusing and of poor quality with excessive typos. Responsive to questions with basically useless answers.

Answers all questions. Very picky about work. It has to be his way or the highway!!!! Won't give an A only A- and less.
