Tom always seemed to talk down to his students. I had him for chemistry lab, and he explained everything very well before we started, but was not the most helpful teacher otherwise.

Tom is great! He is very good at explaining anything and everything. Jokes around with students, and is helpful with the labs. Quizzes are somewhat challenging but if you do the homework you will be fine. I wish he was teaching the course too. I have that idiot Kendric J. Nelson for lecture, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom is a good guy. I have heard some bad things about him, but I had no problems. You may get frustrated when he oversimplifies stuff for you, but he is just trying to be sure you understand.

He takes some getting used to, but he is a good guy. He explains everything in detail, sometimes too much, so you don't have to read the labs before you go. When you ask a question he starts from the very beginning so it seems like he is taking down to you, but when you really have no clue it is nice.

tended to talk down to students, making you not want to ask questions for clarification. Spends an hour at the beginning of lab going over everything 8 times. Stickler for little detials rather than whether you actually know what you're doing.... regardless, its not too tough, just boring. I'd suggest finding someone else, but you'll survive.

He is a very helpful lab instructor, but he will talk down to you. He talks like he's smarter than you are, because he is! He really wants people to understand what is going on and will help you in any way possible. I think he was a great lab instructor.

He's a GREAT lab instructor. He takes a little getting used to, and when he explain's the day's procedures makes you feel dumb, but he'll answer ANY question you have. I would say if you like having a good conversation and have a good sense of humor take him :) he's fun!

Everyone gives Tom bad ratings, but he's a great guy willing to help anyone. If you pay attention and ask questions, you'll get a good grade. His voice is monotonous, but what do you expect, he's a chem professor!

Tom's voice throws people off sometimes I think. Sometimes even when he sounds condescending, he's really not trying to be. If you ask him for help, he'll help you. Stay in lab to finish your homework, it helps A LOT. He has a very sarcastic, dry sense of humor. But if you keep an open mind, he's really not bad.

BAD!He talks forever!Dont ask him any questions because he just makes you feel stupid.His voice is absolutely monotonous and he never answers any questions.His quizzes ALWAYS have at least one trick question on them, and if you get the first problem wrong, chances are you will get the rest of the quiz wrong too! DONT TAKE HIM!HE'S JUST ANNOYING!!!

Dreadful! Better know exactly what he's talking about at all times because if you ask a question he'll ridicule you for 5 min and never even answer. He also plays favorites-mostly flirty girls. I had to wait 20 min for him once because he was busy flirting with some moronic ditz. AVOID HIM!

I liked Tom. I went in for help one of the first days of lab on the homework and he really helped me. From that point on he tried to help me in any way he could because he knew I cared and that I was trying. He can be a little rude sometimes, but the poor guy means well!

He'll never just answer your questions, he just asks you more questions and drags it out for 20 min, however he's a nice guy for the most part, kinda ****ed sometimes tho.
