Comment:

Dr. Hanna loves what she does, and is full of energy. I enjoyed being in her class. However, it was a very challenging course and I had to work super hard to make my grade. I recommend her if you're done with chem after gen chem because some of the other professors are more difficult but prepare you better for organic chem and such

Comment:

Dr. Hanna is a very fun teacher to have. She has demos every Friday that tie in to her lesson. The drawback of her is that when she is teaching, she explains concepts in a way that make sense to her. AP Chem students tend to perform better than those who are just taking the class for Pre-Med.Read the book and fully understand the assigned problems.

She does a good job of explaining concepts and lots of energy. Many of the bad ratings are probably from people who failed out of the class. This is a hard class made to flunk out pre med students so don't take it if you are not good at chemistry. It's a hard class but the curve is huge, so if you're smart and you work hard, you'll do fine.

Very helpful, and super energetic about what she is teaching! Keeps the class entertaining and encourages questions and student participation. If you're having trouble with the class- go to her office hours, they help a ton! Do the homework and the sample problems in the chapter. Tests are hard but the curves will save you!

I'm a jr. I thought the low ratings were just from slackers but I study 10 hrs+ for the quizzes and still can't manage them. 15 minutes for a 10 question quiz. She changes the wording up of the word problems apart from what she teaches and what's in the book so it's very confusing. I'm nervous about this class since I'm here on academic scholarship

Not easy. My major is chemistry so I thought I would do ok. NOT. She is not a good teacher in class but if you go to her after, she is a little better. She doesnt really explain things in class. Basically, you have to teach yourself. A LOT of studying!!!

Hanna's Gen Chem class is not easy by any stretch of the imagination BUT IF YOU WORK HARD, you'll do fine in the course. She may not be the best lecturer but she is aware of that and is more than happy to help you outside of class by email or by office hours. She is a great teacher because she wants what's best for us. Chem is no walk in park.

Worst Teacher Ever...She uses other teachers notes, and the quizes can cover material shes never mentioned but "it is your responsibility to know it if it is in the chapter"- Listen to the other people. Even the tutors were confused.

most scatter brained prof at tcu-- we got so frustrated with figuring out the lab writeups that we stormed the disc. board. not clear on concepts, class not that hard if you know what you're doing (which most didnt bc we werent grad students, go figure). nice person, but didnt really want you in her office for help.

shes definately not good. but she doesnt suck as bad as some of my others. you'll make it if you work for it. the class average is really low. and the quizzes are really hard. but if your smarter and work harder then the 50% of people in their that are idiots that think thier grades should be handed to them, you should make a B.

Not to fond of her at this point. She seems like a nice lady at first. The class average I think is something like a 50. The textbook explains things much better. I have found its almost better to stay home from class and read the textbook, but you can't becuase she gives you these stupid quizes that everyone fails.
